''Shakuntala Devi'' is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language biographical drama film tracing the life of mathematician and mental calculator Shakuntala Devi who was also known as the "human computer". The film is written and directed by Anu Menon and produced by Sony Pictures Networks India, Abundantia Entertainment and Genius Films, and stars Vidya Balan in a title role as Shakuntala Devi and Sanya Malhotra, Amit Sadh and Jisshu Sengupta in supporting roles while child artist Spandan Chaturvedi in her film debut gives a cameo appearance as young Shakuntala. Anu Menon
Anu Menon is an Indian film director and screenwriter. She has directed movies such as ''London, Paris, New York'' (2012), ''Waiting (2015 film), Waiting'' (2016) and worked with non-mainstream actors like Suhasini Maniratnam and Kalki Koechlin. Menon is a graduate of London Film School. Biography Anu grew up in Delhi, studied in KV Andrews Ganj.
