Shaglyteniz
Shaglyteniz or Shagalalyteniz (; ) is a lake in Akkayin and Taiynsha districts, North Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan. The villages of Barykol, Kurya, Intaly, Elizavetinka and Kuchkovka lie near the lakeshore. Taiynsha town lies to the south of the lake. Road P-249 runs close to the northern end of Shaglyteniz. The lake and its adjacent marshes are an important bird area, but much under threat owing to human interaction. Geography Shaglyteniz lies in the southern part of the Ishim Plain, southwest of the Russian border. It is one of the main lakes of the region. It is an endorheic lake located at the bottom of a depression. Lakes Kalibek and Kishi-Karoy lie to the east, and Zhamantuz to the west, but Shaglyteniz is the only lake in the area where the water is relatively fresh. '' |
Shagalaly
The Shagalaly (, ''Şağalaly''), formerly known as Chaglinka, is a river of northern Kazakhstan. It is long, and has a drainage basin of . The river flows through the territory of Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions. The name "Shagalaly" in translation from Kazakh means "area where there are many seagulls" Course The river originates from the Mount Ak-Cheku between knolls in Dzhilandy and Zerenda mountains. Kalibek
Kalibek (; ) is a bittern salt lake in Taiynsha District, North Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan. Taiynsha town, the administrative center of the district, lies to the west of the lake. Geography Kalibek lies in the southern part of the Ishim Plain, southwest of the Russian border. Zhamantuz, Taiynsha District
Zhamantuz () is a salt lake in the Taiynsha District, North Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan. The A1 highway passes to the west of the western edge of the lake. The lake lies to the southeast of Roshchinskoye village. The area surrounding Zhamantuz is used for livestock grazing. Although the water is salty, in the spring it is suitable for the cattle to drink. Geography Zhamantuz is an endorheic lake part of the Ishim river basin. It lies at an elevation of . Smaller lake Kishkenesor extends to the east of its eastern shore, separated from Zhamantuz by a wide strip of land. The southwestern side of larger lake Shaglyteniz lies further to the east. The last stretch of the Shagalaly river flows to the ESE of the eastern side. Lake Zhamantuz freezes in November and stays under ice until April. Ishim Steppe (, , ''Yesil dalasy'') is a plain in the southern part of Western Siberia, between the Irtysh and Tobol rivers. Administratively it is part of Kurgan, Tyumen, and Omsk oblasts in Russia, and the North Kazakhstan Region in Kazakhstan. Geography The plain includes the Ishim, after which it is named. The red-breasted goose (''Branta ruficollis'') is a brightly marked species of goose in the genus ''Branta'' from Eurasia. It is currently classified as vulnerable species, vulnerable by the IUCN.
