Shabab Baalbek Sport Club () is a football club based in Baalbek, Lebanon, that competes in the Founded in 1986 as Nabi Chit Sport Club (), the club was known as Bekaa Sport Club () between 2018 and 2020, and is primarily supported by the Shia Muslim community. History Nabi Chit Sport Club first played in the Lebanese Premier League in the 2014–15 season, after winning Group B of the 2013–14 Lebanese Second Division: they became the first team to represent the Beqaa Governorate in the first division. In 2018, the club changed their name to Bekaa SC; they were relegated back to the Second Division in 2019. In 2020, they changed their name back to Nabi Chit SC. The club changed its name to Shabab Baalbek SC on 7 June 2022. They were promoted to the first division for the first time, as Shabab Baalbek, after finishing second in the 2023–24 Lebanese Second Division season. Baalbek Municipal Stadium
Baalbek (; ; ) is a city located east of the Litani River in Lebanon's Beqaa Valley, about northeast of Beirut. It is the capital of Baalbek-Hermel Governorate. In 1998, the city had a population of 82,608. Most of the population consists of Shia Muslims, followed by Sunni Muslims and Christians; in 2017, there was also a large presence of Syrian refugees. Lebanese Challenge Cup
The Lebanese Challenge Cup () was a Lebanese football annual cup competition contested by the teams placed between 7th and 10th in the previous season of the Lebanese Premier League and the two newly promoted teams from the Lebanese Second Division. Established in 2013, the most successful clubs in the competition are Tadamon Sour, Shabab Sahel, Racing Beirut and Bourj, all with two titles each. The Lebanese Second Division () is the second division of Lebanese football. Established in 1933, it is controlled by the Lebanese Football Association. The 12 teams that participate in the league play each other twice, once at home and once away, with the champions and the second placed team qualifying to the Lebanese Premier League to replace the bottom two teams. 2014–15 Lebanese Premier League
The 2014–15 Lebanese Premier League was the 54th season of top-tier football in Lebanon. A total of twelve teams are competing in the league, with Al Nejmeh the defending champions. The season kicked off on 26 September 2014 and will finish around June 2015. Al Ahed won the league, while Tadamon Sour and Al-Akhaa Al-Ahli Aley were relegated to the second tier. The Lebanese First Division (), commonly known as the Lebanese Premier League (), is the top division of the Lebanese football league system.
