Seven Brisbane
BTQ is the Brisbane television station of the Seven Network in Australia. BTQ was the second television station to launch in Brisbane, going to air on 1 November 1959, after QTQ (station of the Nine Network) launched three months earlier and before ABQ (station of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation) launched just 1 day after BTQ's launch. Along with other Australian television channels, BTQ began broadcasting on digital television on 1 January 2001. In the early eighties, ''Seven National News'' became the first Brisbane-based bulletin to be relayed throughout a string of independent Queensland telecasters. Within the same decade, BTQ was also a major production house for children's television – hosting popular shows as ''Wombat'', ''Now You See It'', ''Family Feud'', ''Play Your Cards Right'' and ''Seven's Super Saturday'' featuring Agro (puppet). Max Futcher
Max Futcher is an Australian television presenter and journalist. He currently co-anchors the Brisbane edition of ''Seven News'' with each weeknight after being chosen to replace Bill McDonald in March 2018. Prior to joining Seven in 2014, Futcher had worked as a ''10 News First'' reporter and relief newsreader for Network Ten, and as a ''WIN News'' reporter for WIN Television. In 2006, Futcher won the United Nations Peace Media Award for his reporting in East Timor, and in 2016, won a Queensland Clarion Award (with camera operator Mark Michalek) for best television news report for their coverage of the Bali Nine executions. STQ is an Australian television station, licensed to, and serving the regional areas of Queensland. The station is owned and operated by the Seven Network from studios located in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. The callsign STQ stands for ''Sunshine Television, Queensland''. History The station began in the 1960s as two different operators: *WBQ-8 Wide Bay/ Maryborough, starting on 10 April 1965 *MVQ-6 Mackay, starting on 9 August 1968 The licence to operate the commercial television service for the Wide Bay-Burnett region, was awarded to Wide Bay-Burnett Television in October 1962. Anthony Auden is an Australian meteorologist. He is currently weather presenter on '' Seven News Brisbane''. Career Auden studied a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Meteorology and Mathematics at Monash University which he completed in 2005. He later gained employment with the Bureau of Meteorology and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Meteorology at the head office in Melbourne. In January 2005, Auden moved to Brisbane and joined the Bureau of Meteorology.
