''Ministry of Sound Sessions Three'' is a dance music compilation album and the 3rd installment of the Australian Ministry of Sound "sessions" series which started in 2004. There are a total of 40 tracks formatted across two discs, mixed by John Course and Goodwill. This was Goodwill's first appearance in the Sessions series, and Course's third. ''Sessions Three'' finished in 2006 at number seven on the ARIA 2006 End-of-Year Top 50 Dance Albums Chart and number eight on the ARIA Top 50 Compilations Chart. Electro House
Electro house is a genre of electronic dance music characterized by heavy bass and a tempo around 130 beats per minute. The term has been used to describe the music of many ''DJ Mag'' Top 100 DJs, including Benny Benassi, Skrillex, Steve Aoki & Deadmau5. Characteristics Simon Reynolds described electro house, as a style attributed to artists like Zedd, Erol Alkan and Bloody Beetroots. Electro-house is typified by its heavy bass. This is often in the form of buzzing basslines, such as those created with sawtooth waves and distortion. It is also often in the form of large bass drum sounds in a four-on-the-floor pattern. The tempo of electro house is usually between 125 and 135 beats per minute, usually 130. Craig Obey
Craig Obey is an Australian music producer who released one studio album in 2006. As a DJ, Obey has produced a number of mix compilations including ''A Night in the Life with Funk Corporation''. In 2000, Obey built the Grooveyard recording studio in Sydney and set up A Higher Sound Recordings, a label set up with Andrew Penhallow and film & media company, The Swish Group. The label signed Disco Montego Disco Montego (earlier known as Kaylan) was an Australian Contemporary R&B, R&B and dance music trio. A Bit Patchy
A Bit Patchy is a single by English DJ Switch. It is based on the 1973 recording of Apache, by Incredible Bongo Band. It was first released at the end of 2005 in discos and dance clubs, before arriving to the charts in 2006. The song was then remixed by various artists, including Eric Prydz, Sinden and Sub Focus. Charts The single peaked at 11 in Spain for a week on 24 September 2006. In the UK, it appeared in the charts on 16 December 2006, peaking at number 103. Reception On 2 October 2005, Gilles Peterson rated "A Bit Patchy" the fourth best single in the Worldwide Tracks of the Year section of Worldwide Winners. David James Andrew Taylor, better known by his stage name Switch, is an English songwriter, DJ, sound engineer, and record producer. He is best known for his work with Beyoncé, M.I.A. and Major Lazer, of which he was a founding member. He was nominated at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in the Record of the Year category for " Paper Planes" by M.I.A., which he co-produced with Diplo. Paul Woolford (born 1976) is a British dance music producer and DJ from Leeds, Yorkshire, who also uses the aliases Bobby Peru and Special Request, such as on the underground hit, "Erotic Discourse". Tim Liken (born 18 July 1977), also known by his stage name as Tim Deluxe, is a British DJ and producer. He is best known for the song "It Just Won't Do", which charted in many countries. Biography Deluxe grew up in North London and worked at Time Is Right Records at the age of 14 and debuted for Ministry of Sound as a DJ in replacement of CJ Mackintosh before he turned eighteen. Axel Christofer Hedfors (; born 18 December 1977), better known by his stage name Axwell, is a Swedish DJ, record producer, remixer and owner of Axtone Records.
