Segolame Boy
Segolame Boy (born 7 November 1992) is a Motswana footballer who plays as a midfielder for Township Rollers in the Botswana Premier League. Segolame Boy was first spotted representing a Selibe-Phikwe local side in the constituency tournaments, the lowest level of Botswana football. Having impressed talent scouts, he was signed by Serowe-based club Miscellaneous and would spend two seasons with them plying his trade in the Botswana Premier League. In 2014 he moved to Premier League giants Township Rollers and quickly became a mainstay in their first eleven, even attracting attention from the more lucrative South African Premier Division. In just five years with the Gaborone club Boy won four Premier League titles, a Mascom Top 8 Cup, and was part of the history-making Rollers squad which played in the 2018 CAF Champions League group stage, cementing his name in Rollers folklore. Serowe
Serowe (population approximately 60,000) is an urban village in Botswana's Botswana Central District, Central District. A trade and commercial centre, it is Botswana's third largest village. Serowe has played an important role in Botswana's history, as capital for the Bamangwato people in the early 20th century and as birthplace of several of Botswana's presidents. More recently it has undergone significant development as the town and as Botswana continues to grow. History Serowe has a memorial to Khama III, chief of the Bamangwato people in the late 19th-early 20th century, who in 1903 founded the town as a new capital of the Bamangwato. They called the area Serowa after the bulb plant they found in the area, which was indicative of water. Saulspoort (also known as Moruleng) is a village in South Africa, at the northern foot of the Pilanesberg, about 65 km north of Rustenburg. It was named after a former baKgatla chief, Tsheole, called Saul by the early settlers. 2015–16 Botswana Premier League
The 2015–16 Botswana Premier League was the 39th season of the Botswana Premier League since its establishment in 1978. Township Rollers won their 13th league title after defeating Centre Chiefs, 5–1, in the championship playoff. The playoff was announced following controversy as to who the rightful champion was following a series of point deductions and appeals. Township Rollers were docked 10 points for using ineligible player Ofentse Nato, dropping from 70 points to 60 and into second place with the decision. Following a series of appeals by both Township Rollers and Centre Chiefs, the Botswana Football Association decided to hold a championship game at the National Stadium on June 15, although the match was later postponed and played on August 11 at Molepolole Stadium in Molepolole. 2020 African Nations Championship Qualification
The 2020 African Nations Championship qualification was a men's football competition which decided the participating teams of the 2020 African Nations Championship. Only national team players who were playing in their country's own domestic league were eligible to compete in the tournament. A total of 16 teams qualified to play in the final tournament, including Cameroon which qualified automatically as hosts.
