Scott Drevitch
Scott Drevitch (born 9 September 1965) is an American former ice hockey and roller hockey defenseman. Ice hockey Following a collegiate career with the University of Maine Black Bears and the University of Lowell Riverhawks, Drevitch was assigned to the Boston Bruins' East Coast Hockey League affiliate Maine Mariners. He played a full season for the Mariners, showing the offensive flair he would enjoy throughout his playing days, but concerns about size in an era where smaller, more mobile defensemen were not the norm saw him spending four of his first five professional seasons almost entirely in the ECHL. Drevitch ultimately spent most of 18 seasons in the mid- to low-minor leagues. He played five seasons with the Tacoma Sabercats of the West Coast Hockey League, and was the career leader in games played, assists and scoring for the franchise; he also played three seasons for the Adirondack Frostbite of the United Hockey League, as well as playing for a number of teams ... Defenceman
Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). They were once called cover-point. In regular play, two defencemen complement three forwards and a goaltender on the ice. Adirondack Frostbite
The Adirondack Frostbite were a minor professional ice hockey team based in Glens Falls, New York, and were a member of the United Hockey League (UHL). They played their home games at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The Adirondack IceHawks UHL team came to Glens Falls in 2000, one season after the American Hockey League's (AHL) Adirondack Red Wings disbanded. The IceHawks were a relocation of the Winston-Salem IceHawks from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Inline Hockey
Roller inline hockey, or inline hockey is a variant of hockey played on a hard, smooth surface, with players using inline skates to move and ice hockey sticks to shoot a hard, plastic hockey puck, puck into their opponent's goal (sport), goal to score points. The sport is a very fast-paced and free-flowing game and is considered a contact sport, but checking (ice hockey), body checking is prohibited. There are five players including the goalkeeper from each team on the rink at a time, while teams normally consist of 16 players. Borås HC is a Swedish professional ice hockey club, based in Borås, currently playing in Swedish division 2. The club played constantly in the second-tier league HockeyAllsvenskan between 2007 and 2012, but due to economical problems the Board of HockeyAllsvenskan announced on 27 June 2012 that they would not grant Borås HC elite license for the 2012–13 season and the club was therefore relegated to Division 1. Eredivisie (ice Hockey)
The ''Eredivisie'' ("Premier League") was, during its existence, the only professional ice hockey league in the Netherlands and the highest level of competition organized by the Nederlandse IJshockey Bond (NIJB; English: "Dutch Ice Hockey Federation"). Formed in 1945 and playing continuously since 1964, the league mainly featured Dutch teams, although in some seasons certain Belgian teams competed. Tilburg Trappers
The Tilburg Trappers are a professional ice hockey club based in Tilburg, The Netherlands. They previously played in the highest level ice hockey league in the country, but have been playing in the German Oberliga Nord since the 2015-16 season. Founded on 21 October 1938, they were officially recognised by the National Federation on 18 January 1939. The Trappers were crowned Eredivisie champions for the first time in the 1946-47 season, adding another 14 National Dutch Championships, 15 Dutch National Cups and 3 German Oberliga Championships over the years.
