Scott Burns is an American computer engineering, computer engineer and a former record producer, music producer of death metal records from late 1980s and 1990s. He was crucial to the emergence of the Florida death metal scene, and has been called an "extreme metal overlord". Jack Owen (born December 6, 1967) is an American musician and guitarist of the death metal band Six Feet Under. He was one of the founding members of Cannibal Corpse. He also had a stint with Deicide—another influential and long-running Florida death metal band—with whom he recorded four albums. In 2007, Owen played shows with Adrift before joining Order of Ennead at times when their guitarist, John Li, was unavailable. Musical career Owen recalls a cassette dub of Kiss' album Alive is what initially got him into heavy metal music and playing guitar. It was released on July 12, 2005, and was the band's first album in eight years since 1997's '' Back from the Dead'', the last to feature guitarist Allen West, and their last album produced for Roadrunner Records. Assück was an American grindcore band from Saint Petersburg, Florida, active from 1987 to 1998. History Assück was founded by vocalist Paul Pavlovich and guitarist Steve Heritage. ''Slowly We Rot'' is the debut studio album by American death metal band Obituary, released in 1989 through R/C Records. It is the only Obituary release to feature bassist Daniel Tucker. Lead guitarist Allen West would leave soon after but returned for the third album, '' The End Complete'' (1992). It was re-released on January 27, 1997 with remastered audio and liner notes. ''From Beyond'' is the debut studio album by American death metal band Massacre, released in 1991 on Earache Records. The album was re-released with a different cover (original is red) and the '' Inhuman Condition'' EP as bonus tracks. The album was recorded in March 1991 at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, Florida. "Corpsegrinder" was originally recorded by the band Death, of which all members of Massacre have been a part in the past. The album's title is based on H. P. Lovecraft's the short story of the same name, and the cover art was painted by Ed Repka. The band's vocalist, Kam Lee, hates the original pink album cover art done by Ed Repka and the changing of the band logo as he claims it "looks like the Superman logo." The band has been primarily based in California since the late 1990s (or 1996), marking a significant shift in their geographic and creative roots.
