''Santosham'' () is a 1955 Telugu language, Telugu-language Drama (film and television), drama film, produced by M. Somasundaram under the Jupiter Pictures banner and directed by C. P. Deekshith. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao, Anjali Devi and Jamuna (actress), Jamuna, with music composed by Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy. It is a remake of the Tamil language, Tamil film ''Velaikari'' (1949) and it was simultaneously made in Hindi as ''Naya Aadmi'' (1956) with Anwar Hussain (actor), Anwar Hussain replacing Jaggayya and Gope (actor), Gope replacing Relangi (actor), Relangi, respectively. Plot Zamindar Dayanidhi (R. Nagendra Rao) is a deceitful vicious miser whose profession is to take advantage of the destitute by giving loans and taking the authority on them. ''Santhosham'' () is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Karthik and written by Agathiyan. The film stars Saravanan and Suvalakshmi, with K. S. Ravikumar, Anand Babu, Prakash Raj, R. Sundarrajan and Thalaivasal Vijay playing supporting roles. It was released on 14 April 1998. Plot Indran is a jobless young man despite being a gold medalist graduate. Without revenue, he collapses under debt and always has ad luck so people who know him neglect him. Only Bhavani befriends him. One day, he meets his college friend Karthik who works for the minister Nadesan and Karthik promises to find him a decent job in politics. During the interview, his bad luck continued. ''Santosham'' ( Happiness) is a 2002 Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film directed by Dasaradh who co-wrote the film with Gopimohan and Trivikram Srinivas. It stars Nagarjuna, Gracy Singh and Shriya Saran in lead roles, with Prabhu Deva and K. Viswanath playing the supporting roles. The music was composed by R. P. Patnaik. The film won two Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. Released on 9 May 2002, the film was well received by critics and was declared a ''Blockbuster'' at the box office. It became the highest grossing film in Nagarjuna's career and was one of the highest grossing films of the year. It was a welcome break for Nagarjuna from the consecutive flops he suffered since 2000. It was dubbed in Tamil as ''Santhosha Vanille'' and in Hindi as ''Pehli Nazar ka Pehla Pyaar''.
