Sander Oostrom
Sander Oostrom (born 14 July 1967) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a striker and a attacking midfielder. Until 2023, he was the all-time top scorer and former of Telstar, before being surpassed by Glynor Plet. Career Oostrom started playing football for the youth team of De Meteoor before moving on to OSV Amsterdam, where he spent four years and eventually made it to the first team. Under the guidance of head coach Joop Burgers, Oostrom honed his skills for two years. His style of play relied heavily on intuition, and it was only under the guidance of Joop Burgers at OSV that he learned defensive techniques and positional awareness. Head coach of Argonaut-Zwarte Schapen, Peter de Waal, recognised his potential, and after moving to second-tier Eerste Divisie club Telstar as assistant coach in 1987, he brought Oostrom to the club. Tuindorp Oostzaan
Tuindorp Oostzaan is a neighbourhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands. The neighbourhood is named after the adjacent village Oostzaan. Approximately 20 minutes from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. As of 6 August 2021, the neighbourhood had a population of 17,330. History Tuindorp Oostzaan was originally a working-class neighbourhood. It is one of the so-called 'garden villages' that was developed around 1919 between the First and Second World War as a counterbalance to the impoverished neighbourhoods in the city. Another reason for the neighbourhood of Tuindorp Oostzaan to arise was the need of housing of the growing group of workers from the new industry and shipyards on the north banks of the IJ. The Vierde Divisie, formerly known as Hoofdklasse () is the second-highest league of amateur football in the Netherlands, and the fifth tier in general. Background The league is divided into two sections: Saturday and Sunday. This is a result of the traditional pillarisation ( nl, verzuiling), the segregation of Dutch society. The ''Saturday'' clubs are mainly Protestant Christian clubs, who were not allowed to play on Sunday. The ''Sunday'' clubs were in general Catholic and working class clubs, whose players had to work on Saturday and therefore could only play on Sunday. Gerrit Lagendijk (13 November 1941 – 11 August 2010) was a Dutch professional football player and agent. Early and personal life Lagendijk was born in Rotterdam and grew up in Ridderkerk. Playing career Lagendijk began his career with the youth team of Feyenoord. He later played senior football with ADO, De Volewijckers and PEC. He spent the 1968 season in the North American Soccer League with the Vancouver Royals, scoring one goal in five appearances. He finished his career with Hermes DVS. Piet Buter (; born 6 June 1949) is a soccer coach from Haarlem, Netherlands. After a number of coaching positions and a spell as technical director of FC Utrecht, he was assistant coach to the Iran national football team. Life and early career Piet Buter was born in Haarlem, Netherlands, and in his younger years played amateur soccer for VV Schoten. An injury cut short his playing career, and he turned to coaching instead. Buter began his coaching career with SV Cronje, and subsequently had spells at VV Noordwijk and RCH. Helmond Sport is a professional association football club based in the city of Helmond, North Brabant, Netherlands, that competes in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of the Dutch football league system. The club was founded on 27 June 1967, as a breakaway from the local professional club Helmondia '55, which had gone bankrupt. History The club was founded in 1967, after the professional license was taken over from RKSV Helmondia '55 in order to keep professional football in Helmond.
