SK Ondur
Skiklubben Ondur was a Norwegian skiing club, based in Oslo but with its sporting facilities in Vestre Aker (before 1900) and Bærum. It was founded in 1891. History The club was founded on 21 November 1891 by schoolboys from Kristiania city (now: Oslo). The name Ondur is an Old Norse word for ski. The original by-laws of the club prescribed a membership that should not surpass 15; also, the active members had to hail from Kristiania. In the first two years, the boys practiced their sport in different locations. From 1893 to 1900, the club rented a lot at Tangen near Bogstadvannet in Vestre Aker. A skiing cabin was erected, and in 1896 a small ski jumping hill ''Ondurbakken'' was established. In 1900 the club moved to Muren near Øverland in Bærum, where a cabin ''Ondurstua'' and a small ski jumping hill was also established. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. Holmenkollen Ski Festival
The Holmenkollen Ski Festival ( no, Holmenkollen skifestival or ) is a traditional annual Nordic skiing event in Holmenkollen, Oslo, Norway. The full official name of the event is Holmenkollen FIS World Cup Nordic. History It takes place in March and has been arranged every year since 1892, except for 1898 and during World War II (1941–1945). The event is arranged by Skiforeningen and takes place at Holmenkollen National Arena and ski jumping hills Holmenkollbakken and Midtstubakken. In 2009 Holmenkollen was under renovation and replacement races were held in Trondheim for cross-country skiing and biathlon, and in Vikersund for ski jumping and nordic combined. In 2011, Holmenkollen hosted the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and there was no separate Holmenkollen Ski Festival. Hagbarth Lund
Hagbarth Lund (1877-1963) was a Norwegian lawyer and politician. He served as the County Governor of Finnmark county from 1922 until 1928 and then he was the County Governor of Vest-Agder county from 1928 until 1948. Personal life Hagbarth Lund was born on 5 March 1877 in Kristiania, Norway. His father, Eilert Christian Lund, was a ship's captain. His mother was Mary Falch. Hagbarth Lund married Dagny Bøckmann in 1915. He died on 23 July 1963. Education and career Lund graduated from the Kristiania Cathedral School in 1897. He then received his cand.jur. degree in 1903. He practiced as a prosecutor in Tana Municipality from 1907 to 1922. During that time he also served several other roles. He was the mayor of Tana Municipality from 1908 to 1916, having run for the Liberal Party. From 1910 to 1914 he was a member of Finnmark County Committee. Hagbart Steffens (13 August 1874 – 27 June 1932) was a Norwegian sportsperson. As a yacht racer he competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics. Steffens was born in Kristiania. In 1908 he was part of the Norwegian ''Fram'' crew, which finished fourth in the Olympic 8 metre class competition. He represented the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club. Eilert Falch-Lund
Eilert Dietrichson Falch-Lund (27 January 1875 – 2 February 1960) was a Norwegian businessperson and sportsperson. As a yacht racer he competed in the 1908 and 1912 Summer Olympics, winning one Olympic gold medal. He was born in Kristiania. He finished Kristiania Commerce School in 1894, and worked in the offices of the companies Fr. Meyer from 1894 to 1904 and J. E. Mowinckel in Bergen from 1904 to 1905. He then stayed in England for a year. In 1914 he started his own company E. Falch-Lund in ''Tollbodgaten''. In 1908 he was part of the Norwegian ''Fram'', which finished fourth in the 8 metre class competition. Four years later he was a crew member of the Norwegian boat ''Magda IX'', which won the gold medal in the 12 metre class. He represented the clubs Royal Norwegian Yacht Club and Bergen SF. Vestre Aker
Vestre Aker (Western Aker) is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. It has a population of 50,157 as of 2020. The previous Aker Municipality was merged into the city of Oslo in 1948. The borough of Vestre Aker was organized as part of the 1 January 2004 reform. Previous boroughs Vinderen and Røa became part of the new borough of Vestre Aker.
