SAFF U-18 Championship
The SAFF U-18/U-19/U-20 Championship or SAFF Youth Championship is a biennial association football, football championship for male footballers under the age of 20 and is organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The championship was held for the first time in August 2015 in Nepal. The tournaments are held just before AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualification matches, keeping in mind about proper preparation for that. Anjan Bista
Anjan Bista (; born 15 May 1998) is a Nepalese professional footballer who plays as a forward for F.C. Chitwan and the Nepal national team. Club career During the 12th edition of the Aaha Rara Gold cup, playing for the ANFA Academy Bista scored the opening goal in the 17th minute to put his team 1–0 up against Nepal Police Club in Pokhara. However Ranjan Bista scored the equalizer in the 35th minute and the Police Club went on to win on a penalty shootout. Nepal APF Bista joined Nepal APF for the upcoming 2015 Nepal National League. South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) is an association of the football playing nations in South Asia. Incorporated in 1997, it is a regional subsidiary of Asian Football Confederation. The members of the association are Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The SAFF U-18/U-19/U-20 Women's Championship is a biennial international association football tournament for women's national football teams under the age of 18/19/20, governed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). SAFF U-17 Championship
The SAFF U-15/U-16/U-17 Championship is an annual international football competition contested by the national teams of the members of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The first edition was held as ''SAFF U-16 Championship'', where most teams sent their U-15 team, keeping in mind AFC U-17 Asian Cup hold every following years to SAFF U-16 Championship. In the 2017 edition, it was held as ''SAFF U-15 Championship'' and the subsequent 2022 edition, the ''SAFF U-17 Championship'' was introduced. The first edition of the tournament took place in Nepal in August 2011. The competition was launched under the leadership of SAFF President Kazi Salahuddin who was elected in 2009. Mirajul Islam (), commonly known as Miraj, is a Bangladeshi professional footballer who plays as a striker for Bangladesh Premier League club Abahani Limited Dhaka and the Bangladesh national team. Early life Mirajul Islam Miraj was born on 1 October 2006, in Jhalokati District of the Barisal Division, the son of Henara Begum and Khalilur Rahman. His father, worked at a restaurant before retiring due to sickness. His parents were initially against the idea of him pursuing football, and often prevented Miraj from playing by tying him to beds in their house. Due to his family's persistence, Miraj had to hide his football boots at a friends house, who he would often visit and later stay with. Gurkirat Singh (born 16 July 2003) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Indian Super League club Chennaiyin. He has represented India at various youth international levels.
