S15 (ZVV)
The S15 is a regional railway line of the Zürich S-Bahn on the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund, Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network, and is one of the network's lines connecting the Canton (Switzerland), cantons of Canton of Zürich, Zürich and Canton of St. Gallen, St. Gallen. Stadler KISS
The Stadler KISS is a family of bilevel rail car, bilevel electric multiple unit commuter trains developed and built since 2008 by Stadler Rail of Switzerland. As of 2016, 242 KISS trainsets comprising 1,145 cars have been sold to operators in eleven countries. Boarding is done into the lower deck. Jona Railway Station
Jona railway station is a railway station in Switzerland, situated next to the village of Jona ( canton of St. Gallen). It is one of four active railway stations in the municipality of Rapperswil-Jona (the other three being , and ). The station is located on the Wallisellen to Uster and Rapperswil railway line. Jona railway station and adjacent bus station were remodelled between 2013 and 2015. In 2021, it was awarded the Swiss mobility price (FLUX). Rüti ZH Railway Station
Rüti ZH () is a railway station in the municipality of Rüti in the Swiss canton of Zurich (abbreviated to ZH). The station is located on the Wallisellen to Rapperswil line just south-west of its junction with the Tösstalbahn from Winterthur via Wald. It is served by passenger trains of the Zurich S-Bahn. History The station opened in 1859, shortly after the opening of the Uster to Rapperswil portion of the Wallisellen to Rapperswil line in 1858. Although the line was originally promoted by an independent company, by the time Rüti station opened it was owned by the Vereinigte Schweizerbahnen (VSB) railway company. The line to Wald opened in 1876, making Rüti into a junction station. The line was independently owned but operated by the VSB. Wetzikon Railway Station
Wetzikon is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Zürich and municipality of Wetzikon. The station is located on both the Wallisellen to Rapperswil via Uster and Effretikon to Hinwil railway lines, which converge at junctions to the north and south of the station. History The station was opened in 1857, at the same time as the Uster to Rapperswil section of the Wallisellen to Rapperswil line. It became a junction station in 1876, when the Effretikon to Hinwil line opened. In 1903, Wetzikon station also became the interchange point with the Wetzikon-Meilen-Bahn (WMB), a newly built metre gauge electric tramway that linked the area with Meilen on the shores of Lake Zürich. Uster Railway Station
Uster is a railway station in Switzerland, situated in the city of Uster. The station is located on the Wallisellen to Uster and Rapperswil railway line. History Between 1909 and 1949, Uster station was also the terminus of the Uster-Oetwil-Bahn (UOeB), a metre gauge electric tramway that linked Uster with Esslingen and Oetwil in the Zürcher Oberland. An unusual feature of Uster railway station is the historic ''lok remise'' or engine shed. This comprises two separate buildings, a simple shed from 1856 and a partial roundhouse from 1857, arranged around a turntable. The roundhouse is flanked by houses on either side. Uster
Uster (; , ) is a town and the capital of the Uster District in the Swiss canton of Zürich. The importance of the town of Uster has grown considerably with the construction of the S-Bahn network of the Zürich Transport Network.
