Gunnar Rosendal
Gunnar Rosendal (4 April 1897 – 26 December 1988) was a Swedish Lutheran priest, Doctor of Theology, and parish priest of Osby. Through his books promoting High Church Lutheran theology and spirituality, especially '' Kyrklig förnyelse'' (1935), he became a leading and disputed figure of the Catholic movement in the Church of Sweden. Early life Rosendal was born in Grevie parish, Scania, Sweden, the son of Andreas and Teolinda Rosendal. His mother died early and his father moved to the United States so he and his sister were raised by an aunt. After graduating from Lunds Privata Elementarskola he began his theological studies at Lund University in 1918. Rosendal (manor House)
Rosendal is a manor house and estate located 3.5 km south of Faxe in southeastern Denmark. It was until 1781 mostly owned by the intermarried Rosenkrantz (family), Rosenkrantz and Niels Juel, Juul families. The three-winged main building and the three-winged home farm (''avlsgården'') were listed on the Listed buildings in Faxe Municipality, Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1950. The two-storey main wing is from 1849 and was designed by Michael Gottlieb Bindesbøll but some of the other buildings date from the 17th century. Rosendal is now owned by the Hong Kong-based Danish shipping Hans Michael Jebsen, Jebsen family. Rosenvænget is a neighbourhood in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Established in circa 1860, it was the first neighbourhood of single family detached homes in Denmark. Rosendal, Norway
Rosendal is the administrative centre of the municipality of Kvinnherad in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the southern shore of the Hardangerfjorden, about north of the village of Dimmelsvik and about straight west of the vast Folgefonna glacier which sits inside the nearby Folgefonna National Park. Barony Rosendal (Norwegian: ''Baroniet Rosendal'') is a historic estate and manor house situated in Kvinnherad in Hordaland county, Norway. The barony was built in the 17th century by Danish noblemen on the old estate of the Norwegian noble Galte family, the current barony estate making out the historical farms of Hatteberg, Mel and Eik. Rosendal is a small farming town and arts colony 45 km north of Ficksburg in the Free State province of South Africa which was founded in 1908. Rosendal Palace
Rosendal Palace () is a Swedish palace pavilion located on Djurgården, an island in central Stockholm. It was built between 1823 and 1827 for King Charles XIV John, the first Bernadotte king of Sweden. It was intended as an escape from the formalities of court life at the Royal Palace. Rosendal Palace was largely designed by Fredrik Blom, one of the leading architects of the time, who received a royal commission to draw and build the palace building after the original buildings burned down. Fredrik August Lidströmer, Stockholm's City Architect from 1818 to 1824, had been King Charles XIV's primary architect at the construction of the original Rosendal Palace. After it burned down in 1819, Lidströmer also created the initial drawings for the replacement palace.
