Rosanna Mangiarelli
Rosanna Mangiarelli (born 1974) is an Australian television presenter. She is best known for anchoring ''Seven News'' bulletins on Channel 7 in Adelaide and for hosting the South Australian edition of ''Today Tonight'' for 12 years. In December 2022, it was announced that Mangiarelli and Will Goodings would succeed Jane Doyle following her retirement to anchor Adelaide's weeknight ''Seven News'' bulletins in 2023. Career Early career After completing a journalism degree at the University of South Australia, she joined Central GTS/BKN in Port Pirie in 1997. In 1999, Mangiarelli joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She worked for the ABC in Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. ''Today Tonight'' was an Australian current affairs television program produced by the Seven Network. It aired from January 1995 to November 2019 in Adelaide and Perth. Editions in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne were previously produced before being cancelled in February 2014. History Following the cancellation of ''Real Life'', presented by Stan Grant late in 1994, ''Today Tonight'' was launched in January 1995 to replace it, with separate editions for each main metropolitan market (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth). Walkerville, South Australia
Walkerville is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It lies just north east of the city centre, about from the Adelaide GPO. Walkerville is one of South Australia's most affluent suburbs and in 2012 it was South Australia's second "top earning suburb." History Walkerville was named after one Captain John Walker R. N., who took up land in the district in 1838, two years after the first colonists arrived in South Australia. The area was attractive to early settlers and within a few years, the settlement had become a village. During the 1840s, Walker fell victim to over-speculation in land value and a statewide financial depression. He was imprisoned briefly for debt and in 1849 he left the colony to take up a government position in Hobart. His connection with the state, although brief, is remembered in the naming of the suburb. Michael Grant Smithson (born 26 November 1956) is an Australian political reporter and journalist. He is a presenter for ''Seven News'' in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia and can be heard on Adelaide radio station FIVEaa discussing political events with Leon Byner.
