Ronny Hodel
Ronny Hodel (born 27 October 1982) is a Swiss former professional association football, footballer who played as a left-back. He started out with local club FC Luzern in 2000 before moving on to BSC Young Boys in 2005. He played there for two years until he was signed by FC Basel at the end of the 2006/07 season. He was considered one of the best left-backs in Switzerland despite never making his full international debut. Football career Born in Horw, Lucerne District, Lucerne, Hodel played his youth football with local club FC Luzern, Luzern coming through the ranks. In summer 2000 he advanced from their U-21 team and joined their first team under head coach Andy Egli. In his second season with the team he became a regular player in the starting eleven. Christoph Spycher
Christoph Spycher (born 30 March 1978) is a Swiss former professional footballer who played as a left-back. He spent most of his playing career in Switzerland, apart from a five-year spell with German club Eintracht Frankfurt. Spycher also represented the Switzerland national football team at two UEFA European Championships and the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Spycher is currently chief sports officer of BSC Young Boys. Career Born in Wolhusen, Spycher played for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga for five years, mainly as a full-back. He had a trial with Rangers FC in June 2004. AC Bellinzona is a Swiss football club based in Bellinzona. It was founded in 1904, and won the Swiss Super League in 1948. 2007–08 Swiss Cup
The 2007–08 Swiss Cup (Swisscom Cup) was the 83rd season of Switzerland's football knockout competition. The winner was FC Basel. AC Bellinzona qualified for the UEFA Cup after finishing as runner-up due to Basel qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. Format In season 2007-08 the tournament structure was changed. The 10 clubs from the Swiss Super League as well as the 17 clubs of the Swiss Challenge League qualified directly for the cup and entered in the round of 64. FC Vaduz were not included in the cup as they play in the Liechtenstein Cup. 11 clubs from the 1st league as well as 26 clubs from the amateur leagues had to qualify in regional tournaments for the Swisscom Cup. Wankdorf Stadium () is a football stadium in Bern, Switzerland. The second largest all-seater football stadium in Switzerland, it is the home ground of BSC Young Boys. It was also one of the venues for UEFA Euro 2008. History The present-day Stadion Wankdorf was built on the grounds of the former Wankdorf Stadium, which hosted the 1954 FIFA World Cup final (''The Miracle of Bern''), and was then demolished in 2001.
