Ron Stone (bishop)
Ronald Francis Ron Stone AM (born 10 September 1938) is a retired Australian bishop. He was the 10th Bishop of Rockhampton in the Anglican Church of Australia from 1996 to 2003. Stone was educated at Taylors College, Melbourne and ordained in 1963. His first post was as a curate at Junee, after which he was priest in charge of Kameruka. He was rector of Kerang and then the Archdeacon of Bendigo. The Order of Australia is an honour that recognises Australian citizens and other persons for outstanding achievement and service. It was established on 14 February 1975 by Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia, on the advice of the Australian Government. Before the establishment of the order, Australian citizens received British honours. Godfrey Fryar
Godfrey Charles Fryar was the eleventh Bishop of Rockhampton in the Anglican Church of Australia. Early life Fryar was educated at All Souls' Charters Towers. Religious life Fryar and ordained in 1973. He was a Bush Brother until 1976 after which he held incumbencies in Rockhampton, Mackay and Stafford, Queensland. From 1993 to 1998 he was Dean of St Saviour's Cathedral, Goulburn. George Hearn (bishop)
George Arthur Hearn (born 17 November 1935) was the ninth Anglican Bishop of Rockhampton from 1981 until 1996. Hearn was educated at Northcote High School and ordained in 1964. His first post was as a curate at Traralgon after which he was vicar of Omeo. He held further incumbencies at Wonthaggi and Kyabram before administrative posts within the Diocese of Melbourne. He was consecrated a bishop on 30 April 1981, to serve as Bishop of Rockhampton. He resigned his See effective 18 March 1996.
