Romance (1983 Film)
''Romance'' is a 1983 Hindi-language Indian film produced and directed by Ramanand Sagar. The film stars Kumar Gaurav, Poonam, Dhillon, Shammi Kapoor, Sushma Seth and Saeed Jaffrey. Romance is a colorful, lively story of two teenage lovers of the jet age: Sonia, a half-English girl, and Amar, an Indian youth, whose romance blossoms across thousands of miles and crosses all barriers. Plot British-based Mr. and Mrs. Roy are thrilled when their son announces that he is going to marry a Caucasian woman. Soon they are blessed with a granddaughter, Sonia. Tragically, their son dies, leaving them heartbroken. Ramanand Sagar
Ramanand Sagar (born Chandramauli Chopra; 29 December 1917 – 12 December 2005) was an Indian film-television director, producer, and writer. He is best known for his contribution to the television serials '' Ramayan'' (1987–1988) and '' Shri Krishna'' (1993–1999), which broke several viewership records globally. Early life Sagar was born at Asal Guruke near Lahore. His great-grandfather, Lala Shankar Das Chopra, migrated from Lahore to Kashmir. Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. Anand Bakshi (21 July 1930 – 30 March 2002) was an Indian poet and lyricist. He won Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist 4 times during his career. He wrote over 6000 film songs in more than 300 films. Early life Anand Bakshi (Bakshi Anand Prakash Vaid) was born in Rawalpindi in the Punjab Province of British India (now in Punjab, Pakistan), on 21 July 1930 into a Mohyal Brahmin family of the Vaid clan.
