Roland Gunnesch
Roland Gunnesch (sometimes spelled Gunesch or Guneș; born 25 March 1944) is a retired Romanian handball player of German ethnicity. During his career he earned 170 caps with the national team and scored 252 goals, winning the world title in 1970 and 1974 and Olympic medals in 1972 and 1976. Apold () is a commune in Mureș County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Apold, Daia (''Denndorf''; ''Dálya'' or ''Szászdálya''), Șaeș (''Schaas''; ''Segesd''), and Vulcan (''Wolkendorf''; ''Volkány'').
