Apold (german: Trapold) is a commune in MureÈ™ County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Apold, Daia (''Denndorf''; ''Dálya'' or ''Szászdálya''), ȘaeÈ™ (''Schaas''; ''Segesd''), and Vulcan (''Wolkendorf''; ''Volkány''). The commune is located in the southern part of the county, on the border with BraÈ™ov and Sibiu counties. Its neighbors are as follows: *West: the commune DaneÈ™. *East: the commune Saschiz. *North: the city of SighiÈ™oara, and the communes AlbeÈ™ti and Vânători. *South: the commune Brădeni, in Sibiu County. *South-East: the commune BuneÈ™ti, in BraÈ™ov County. Gabriel Stelian MureÈ™an (born 18 March 1982) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder.
