Leonardo Marras (born 12 January 1973) is an Italian politician. Biography Born in Grosseto on 12 January 1973, Marras graduated from the "Guglielmo Marconi" scientific high school and immediately began his political career, being elected as a municipal councilor in Roccastrada in 1992 with the Democratic Party of the Left. In 1999, at the age of 26, Marras was elected mayor of Roccastrada with the Democrats of the Left. Marras has been a member of the Democratic Party since 2007. Montemassi
Montemassi is a village in Tuscany, central Italy, administratively part of the ''comune'' of Roccastrada, in the province of Grosseto. It is located on a hill about above sea level. The village originated as a fortified village of the Aldobrandeschi family. The Republic of Siena conquered it in the mid-13th century, but in the following century it was held by the Pannocchieschi and the Cappucciani of Sticciano families. In 1328 it was conquered by the condottiero Guidoriccio da Fogliano, fighting for Siena; the event is depicted in a famous fresco in the Palazzo Pubblico of Siena. In the mid-16th century it became part of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, following its history thenceforth. It features a large polygonal rocca and a line of walls. Colline Metallifere
The Colline Metallifere (), or the Metalliferous Hills ("Metal-bearing Hills"), are a mountain-hill group in the Tuscany, Tuscan Antiapennine, in central Italy. They occupy the central-western part of Tuscany, divided between the province of Livorno, provinces of Livorno, province of Pisa, Pisa, province of Siena, Siena and province of Grosseto, Grosseto. The territory, with the exception of the Poggio di Montieri and Cornate di Gerfalco peaks, both above the 1,000 m, is mostly hilly, with a rich variety of minerary resources, whence the name.
