Roberts Bluķis
Roberts Bluķis (4 April 1913 – 14 April 1998) was a Latvians, Latvian ice hockey and basketball player. Throughout his career, he played ice hockey for Rīgas US, HK ASK Rīga, and Dinamo Riga (original), Dinamo Riga. Bluķis also played hockey for the Latvia men's national ice hockey team, Latvian national team at the 1936 Winter Olympics and in four ice hockey world championships, World Championships. He finished his career after World War II with three seasons at Augsburger Panther, Augsburger HC. In basketball, he was a three-time Latvian champion and played for the Latvia men's national basketball team, Latvian national team at the 1935 International University Games, 1935 and 1937 International University Games. He studied at the Riga Technical University, earning a degree in engineering, and moved to Germany and then the United States after the Second World War. Latvia Men's National Basketball Team
The Latvia men's national basketball team () represents Latvia in international basketball. They are organized and run by the Latvian Basketball Association. Latvia has reached the European Basketball Championship 15 times, with their ultimate success occurring during the inter-war period, when they became the first team to win the tournament in 1935. Four years later, they had another impressive run to come away with the silver in 1939. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is the military engineering branch of the United States Army. A direct reporting unit (DRU), it has three primary mission areas: Engineer Regiment, military construction, and civil works.
