Roberto Vacchi
Roberto Ivano Luca Vacchi (born 28 November 1965, Stockholm) is an Italy, Italian-Sweden, Swedish retired bicycle racing, racing cyclist and a sportscaster, sports commentator on Eurosport. He commentates cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing and a variety of other sports, but is most known for his cycling coverage together with Anders Adamson. Vacchi also works as an announcer at the Sweden men's national football team, Swedish national football team's home matches, Vasaloppet, Royal Palace Sprint and other events. Biography Vacchi was born in Stockholm in 1965 to Italy, Italian parents who had emigrated to Sweden in the 1950s. At the age of 9, his family moved back to Italy to La Spezia where he discovered bicycle racing, competitive cycling. After a few years in Italy they moved back to Sweden. Bengt Grive
Bengt Edvin Axel Grive (born Gustafsson, 21 March 1921 – 17 September 2003) was a Swedish sports commentator, journalist and author. Early life Grive was born on 21 March 1921 in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of Edvin Gustafsson and Elsa (née Lindström). Grive worked as a firefighter in Stockholm during a few years in the 1940s. Career In his youth, he was part of the Swedish elite in table tennis, during a few years and won the Swedish championship in the sport in 1951. Grive worked at ''Aftonbladet'' newspaper from 1951 to 1956, and performed as a variety show artist from 1953 to 1960. In 1960, he became a reporter for Sveriges Television, where he worked until 1990 when he became a freelance journalist. Cross-country skiing is a form of skiing whereby skiers traverse snow-covered terrain without use of ski lifts or other assistance. Cross-country skiing is widely practiced as a sport and recreational activity; however, some still use it as a means of travel. Variants of cross-country skiing are adapted to a range of terrain which spans unimproved, sometimes mountainous terrain to groomed courses that are specifically designed for the sport. The Swedish Ski Association () is a sports governing body for skiing in Sweden. It was established in Sundsvall on 11 December 1908 as the Swedish Cross-Country Skiing Association () before changing name in 1911. The headquarters were originally located in Stockholm before relocating to Falun on 3 May 2001.
