Robert Daniels (boxer)
Robert Daniels (born August 30, 1968) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 2007, with a comeback in 2012. He held the WBA cruiserweight title from 1989 to 1991. Professional career Daniels turned pro in 1984 and in 1989 he captured the vacant WBA cruiserweight title by defeating a badly faded 36-year-old Dwight Muhammad Qawi in France. He defended the title twice before losing the title to Bobby Czyz in 1991 in a close split decision in Atlantic City. He continued to fight as both a cruiserweight and heavyweight through 1997. In his highest profile fights as a heavyweight, he lost to Lawrence Clay-Bey and David Tua. Robert Anthony Daniels (born June 18, 1957), sometimes styled R. Anthony Daniels or Anthony Daniels, is a Canadian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the 9th bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Falls, Newfoundland, Canada, succeeding Archbishop Martin Currie, 67, who had been the bishop of the diocese in addition to being archbishop of his own archdiocese, the Metropolitan Archdiocese of St. John's, Newfoundland. Robert Vincent "Bill" Daniels (1926–2010) was an American historian and educator specializing in the history of the Soviet Union. He is best remembered as the author of two seminal monographs on the history of Soviet Russia —''The Conscience of the Revolution'' (1960) and ''Red October'' (1967) — and as author or editor of an array of widely used Russian history textbooks which helped to shape the thinking of two generations of American college students. Robert William Daniels Jr. (July 1, 1920 – March 7, 2000) was an American cable television executive and owner of professional sports teams. He was a pioneer in building the cable television industry and was known as the "father of cable television." Having an interest in sports, he co-founded the Prime Ticket sports network and was a co-owner of the Los Angeles Lakers and was a founder of the United States Football League as the owner of the Los Angeles Express.
