Robert Daniels (boxer)
Robert Daniels (born August 30, 1968) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 2007, with a comeback in 2012. He held the WBA cruiserweight title from 1989 to 1991. Professional career Daniels turned pro in 1984 and in 1989 he captured the vacant WBA cruiserweight title by defeating a badly faded 36-year-old Dwight Muhammad Qawi in France. He defended the title twice before losing the title to Bobby Czyz in 1991 in a close split decision in Atlantic City. He continued to fight as both a cruiserweight and heavyweight through 1997. In his highest profile fights as a heavyweight, he lost to Lawrence Clay-Bey and David Tua. Bret Edward Barberie (born August 16, 1967) is an American former professional baseball infielder. He played in Major League Baseball for the Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, Baltimore Orioles, and Chicago Cubs. Before his professional career, Barberie attended the University of Southern California (USC) and played college baseball for the USC Trojans, and played for the United States national baseball team in the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 1988 Baseball World Cup. Professional career Belbouli turned pro in 1982 and won the vacant WBA cruiserweight title with a TKO win over Michael Greer in March 1989 in Morocco. He vacated the title six months later, never defending it, but tried to regain it in November 1990 when he fought his successor as champion, Robert Daniels. He announced his retirement after the bout, which finished a draw. James Heath (boxer)
James Heath (born February 17, 1960) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 1996. He twice challenged for the WBA cruiserweight title between 1994 and 1996. Career Heath turned professional in 1985, winning his debut against Jessie Brown in 3 rounds. Heath was given the opportunity to fight Orlin Norris for the WBA cruiserweight title in Mexico after 10 fights. Heath was knocked out in the second round. Heath's second world title shot came 2 years later against Nate Miller. The result was a 7th-round technical knockout going Miller's way. Shortly after Heath retired. Sergei Kobozev
Sergey Kobozev (Kostroma, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union; 20 July 1964 – 8 November 1995) was a Russian boxer, who challenged for the WBC Cruiserweight title in 1995. He is also known as a first boxer to defeat John Ruiz. He proved to be a tough slugger, but his career ended early after he was killed by the Russian mafia. Kobozev was the Cruiserweight Champion of the Soviet Union. After moving to the United States, he continued his undefeated career and became the International Boxing Federation Cruiserweight Champion in July 1994. He was scheduled to fight Orlin Norris on March 12, 1995, for the WBA World Cruiserweight title, but the fight didn't happen. Super cruiserweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Class description Super cruiserweights, also called Junior Heavyweights, have been described as being in the gray 'zone' of 190 to 210 pounds by the IBA for world title purposes. The so-called categorization has gone as high in weight in description as 210 to 250 pounds by others. There is no general consensus on the upper and lower weight limits. This division encompasses what most governing bodies consider to be heavier cruiserweight fighters, or lighter heavyweights.
