Roads in Kuwait are mostly Paved road, paved. Roadways extend up to 6,500 km, of which 4,900 km is paved. As of 2000, there were about 552,400 passenger cars and 167,800 commercial vehicles. The maximum speed limit, observed on major roads like the 5th, 6th, and 7th ring roads, the maximum speed is 120 Km/h. There are speed cameras on all major roads, highways, ring roads and near traffic lights. The Kuwaiti government spends nearly 450 million USD for these cameras . All roads in Kuwait are toll-free. A road surface (British English) or pavement (North American English) is the durable surface material laid down on an area intended to sustain vehicular or foot traffic, such as a road or walkway. Adailiya
Adailiya ( ) is an area and a suburb of Kuwait City; it is located in the Capital Governorate in Kuwait. It had a population of 21,996 in 2022. Adailiya houses a campus of Kuwait's Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) and, temporarily, the colleges of Architecture and Life Sciences at Kuwait University as well as the Kazma Sport Club and religious, cultural, and commercial places. Rawda ( Gulf Arabic pronunciation: ) is an area located within the Capital Governorate of Kuwait and is considered a suburb of Kuwait's capital city, Kuwait City. Hawally, Kuwait
Hawally () is an area in, and the namesake of, the Hawalli Governorate, located in the State of Kuwait. Hawally is a large settlement and the commercial center for most computer-related goods in Kuwait. Prior to the first Gulf War, it housed many Palestinians, but many left during and after the War. Currently, Hawally is home to many of the Arab populations in Kuwait including Egyptians, Syrians, Iraqis and Lebanese. Green Island (Kuwait)
The Green Island is an artificial island in Kuwait, off the coast of Kuwait City's promenade. It was opened in 1988 and became a tourist attraction. It is the first artificial island in the Persian Gulf region. It is also a waterside park with picnicking areas. In 2023 Kuwait announced the Green Island Season in celebration of the 62nd National Day and 32nd Liberation Day. The Season was developed by the Touristic Enterprise Company (TEC). The Season opened its doors on 12 February 2023. In this season the island set up many restaurants, cafés, games, and other entertainment facilities.
