''Rip It Off'' is the fourth studio album from San Francisco, California, United States, alternative rock band Stroke 9. It was released on October 1, 2002. The album's singles were "Latest Disaster", " Kick Some Ass", and "100 Girls". "Kick Some Ass" appeared in the 2001 film ''Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'', and the music video for the song features the title characters Jay and Silent Bob attacking random fictional singers and rappers. Stroke 9
Stroke 9 is an American alternative rock band formed in Marin County, California, in 1989. History Stroke 9 had their first live performance at Caffe Nuvo in San Anselmo. They split up for the summer and didn't get back together until the summer of 1991. Haddad and Stromberg had no desire to revive Stroke 9, so Esterkyn and Gueldner recruited old schoolmates John McDermott and Stephen Heath. They moved from the basement to the garage and played publicly anywhere that they could. The band put out two independent releases in 1993 and 1995. Eric Stock began filling in on drums in April 1997; Stock was a New York transplant who had previously toured with Modern English. After signing to Universal Records, the band released '' Nasty Little Thoughts'' in 1999, which charted in the US, yielded two rock radio hits, " Little Black Backpack" (originally released in Bumper to Bumper) and "Letters", and was certified Gold by the RIAA on April 21, 2000. Stroke is a medical condition in which poor blood flow to a part of the brain causes cell death. My Scene
My Scene (stylized in all lowercase) is an American series of fashion dolls that Mattel released in 2002. They were a spinoff doll line to Mattel’s Barbie doll line, and are also considered Barbie-brand dolls. They were discontinued in the US in 2008, and worldwide in 2011; however, in November 2024 Mattel released collector versions of the three main characters, meaning a possible return of the franchise. Mattel's Barbie character was one of the dolls in the toy line. The My Scene dolls' bodies were slim, similar to earlier Barbie dolls, but their heads were larger. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s.
