Rijkevorsel () is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the town of Rijkevorsel, , and . In 2021, Rijkevorsel had a total population of 12,262. The total area is 46.79 km2. History Rijkevorsel, Vaishak, Voirssele, Forsela in 1194. Recent archaeological finds at the Willow Street attest to human presence in the late Stone Age, the bronze and Iron Age and the Roman times. A large cemetery with cremation (urnfield) on the Helhoekheide may point to a first settlement being present here already before the beginning of our era. Aster Berkhof
Lodewijk Paulina Van Den Bergh (18 June 1920 – 29 September 2020), known as Lode Van Den Bergh, also using the pseudonyms Aster Berkhof and Piet Visser, was a Belgian writer. Early life Van Den Bergh was born in Rijkevorsel on 18 June 1920. He first went to the primary school in Rijkevorsel where his father was director. For his high school he went to the ''Klein Seminarie'' in Hoogstraten. He studied Germanic philology from 1938 until 1942 at the Catholic University of Leuven, and in 1946 he obtained a PhD in philosophy. Career Van Den Bergh began his professional career as a scientific assistant at the Catholic University of Leuven, subsequently working as a teacher at the Royal Athenaea in Antwerp, Brussels and Koekelberg. Finally he became a professor at the ''Saint Ignatius Faculty'' in Antwerp. Hoogstraten
Hoogstraten () is a municipality and city located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises Hoogstraten, Meer, Meerle, Meersel-Dreef, Minderhout and Wortel (Meersel-Dreef includes the northernmost point in Belgium). Hoogstraten (originally ''Hoogstraeten'') has a population of over 20,000, and lies in Flanders at the northern border of Belgium within an enclave surrounded on three sides by the Netherlands. Today, about 15% percent of the population consists of Dutch people. Wuustwezel () is a municipality located in the north of the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality as it is now originated in 1977, when Wuustwezel merged with the municipality of Loenhout. It now consists of three major villages, Wuustwezel proper, Gooreind and Loenhout, and two minor hamlets, Braken and Sterbos. In 2021, Wuustwezel had a total population of 21,346. Golden Earring were a Dutch rock music, rock band, founded in 1961 in The Hague as The Tornados. They achieved worldwide fame with their international hit songs "Radar Love" in 1973, which went to number one on the Dutch chart, reached the top ten in the United Kingdom, and went to number thirteen on the United States chart, "Twilight Zone (Golden Earring song), Twilight Zone" in 1982, and "When the Lady Smiles" in 1984.
