Richard Thompson (26 August 1914 – 12 June 1998) was an American animator who worked at several animated cartoon departments over a career of four decades. Career Thompson's longest association was with Chuck Jones at Warner Bros. Cartoons and MGM Animation/Visual Arts. Notably, he was an animator on Chuck Jones' Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, Road Runner cartoons. He also worked at Hanna-Barbera and DePatie–Freleng Enterprises. He animated for Tom and Jerry cartoons; for one Peanuts animated special, ''He's Your Dog, Charlie Brown''; and for two Babar TV specials by Mendelson-Melendez Productions, ''The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant'' and ''Babar Comes to America''. Richard Thompson (footballer, Born 1969)
Richard John Thompson (born 11 April 1969) is an English former professional footballer. He played professionally for Newport County and Torquay United and has been manager of Yate Town and Almondsbury Town. He is currently manager of Mangotsfield United. Thompson was on schoolboy forms with Watford and played for Yate Town before joining Newport County in January 1987. He scored on his Newport debut in October 1987, but was transfer-listed shortly afterwards due to Newport's growing financial crisis. Newport were relegated at the end of the season, and would fold before the end of their first season in the Conference. Thompson left to join Torquay United in June 1988 and made his Torquay debut in the first game of the following season, playing as a substitute for Jim McNichol in the 2–0 defeat at home to Halifax Town. Richard Horner Thompson (24 September 1926 – 21 February 2016) was a United States Army general. Early life Thompson was born on 24 September 1926, in New York City, New York and died on 21 February 2016, in Fairfax, Virginia. Military career Thompson entered in the United States Army in November 1944 and advanced to the grade of staff sergeant before being commissioned a second lieutenant. He served first at Fort Hamilton and then was assigned to Japan, where he performed duties as the Army Exchange Officer at Kokura. He returned to the United States in March 1957 to take the Associate Infantry Company Officer Course at the United States Army Infantry School. Upon completion, he was assigned to Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. In the two years he was stationed there, Thompson attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science from the College of the Ozarks (now the University of the Ozarks). Vice Admiral Sir Richard Charles Thompson, (born 12 February 1966) is a retired Royal Navy officer. Early life and education Thompson was born on 12 February 1966 in Reading, Berkshire, England. He was educated at Meadway School, a state school in Reading. He studied engineering at the Royal Naval Engineering College and King's College London. Naval career Thompson joined the Royal Navy in 1985. He served with 845 Naval Air Squadron from 1989 to 1991, and with 849 Naval Air Squadron from 1991 to 1993. Sir Richard Paul Hepworth Thompson, (born 14 April 1940) is a British physician and past president of the Royal College of Physicians in London. Biography Thompson studied medicine at Oxford University and St Thomas' Hospital, and specialised in gastroenterology. He conducted research with Prof Roger Williams, and at the Mayo Clinic. At the University of Plymouth he is director of the Marine Institute; professor of Marine Biology; and leads the International Marine Litter Research Unit. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets track and field team is the track and field program that represents Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The team is based in Atlanta, Georgia at the George C. Griffin Track and Field Facility.
