Richard Ehrenborg (politician)
Richard Mikael Ehrenborg (1821–1887) was a Swedish politician. Born in Skaraborg County to Casper Ehrenborg and Anna Fredrica Carlqvist, Richard Ehrenborg was raised alongside two sisters, Betty Ehrenborg and Ulla Bring. He earned a master of philosophy degree from Uppsala University and returned to Västergötland. Skaraborg County
Skaraborg County ( sv, Skaraborgs län ) was a Counties of Sweden, county of Sweden from 1634 until 1997. It was disestablished at the end of 1997 when it was merged with the counties of Gothenburg and Bohus County, Gothenburg and Bohus and Älvsborg County, Älvsborg to form Västra Götaland County. The county was named after a fortress () outside the List of cities in Sweden, city of Skara. The seat of residence for the county governor was Mariestad from 1660 onwards and the largest city (during the 20th century) was first Lidköping and later Skövde. The county consisted of the northeastern part of the Provinces of Sweden, province of Västergötland. Even though Skaraborg County itself no longer exists, various organizations are still named after it, and cover that approximate area. Casper Ehrenborg
Casper Isaac Michael Ehrenborg (17 November 1788 – 16 September 1823) was a Swedish politician. He was born in Allerum on 17 November 1788 to parents Jöns Ehrenborg and Beata Maria Tham. His maternal grandfather was military officer Isak Tham. Ehrenborg married Anna Fredrica Carlqvist in 1811, with whom he raised three children, Betty Ehrenborg, Richard Ehrenborg and Ulla Bring, wife of Ebbe Gustaf Bring. Ehrenborg began his legal career in the 1800s, working for the Göta Court of Appeal. He progressed through the judicial hierarchy, having been assigned to the administrative courts of appeal and to the Skaraborg County government by 1810. In 1821, Ehrenborg was named deputy governor of Skaraborg, serving until 1823, when he was appointed Parliamentary Ombudsman of the Riksdag of the Estates. Anna Fredrica Ehrenborg, née Carlqvist (16 March 1794, Karlstad – 20 May 1873, Linköping), was a Swedish writer. Betty Ehrenborg
Betty Ehrenborg, married name Posse af Säby (22 July 1818 – 22 July 1880), was a Swedish writer, psalm writer and pedagogue. She is regarded as the founder of the Swedish Sunday school. Life Katarina Elisabeth (nicknamed Betty) Ehrenborg was the daughter of the noble Parliamentary Ombudsman Casper Ehrenborg and the writer Anna Fredrica Carlqvist. She was raised at the family estate Råbäck at Kinnekulle. Her sister Maria Ulrika (Ulla) Ehrenborg was the wife of Bishop Ebbe Gustaf Bring. In 1842, she and her mother moved to Uppsala to be near her brother, Richard, who studied at Uppsala University. In Uppsala, she attended several of the university lectures, though she was merely a member of the civil audience and not a student, and she became a part of the Uppsala intellectual life of the 1840s. Lindesberg () is a locality and the seat of Lindesberg Municipality, Örebro County, Sweden with 9,672 inhabitants in 2017. History Lindesberg has centuries old history, being the center of an old mining district. The earliest known traces of a town are in the foundations of the 14th century stone church.
