Lindesberg
Lindesberg () is a locality and the seat of Lindesberg Municipality, Örebro County, Sweden with 9,672 inhabitants in 2017. History Lindesberg has centuries old history, being the center of an old mining district. The earliest known traces of a town are in the foundations of the 14th century stone church. That town was however known as Lindesås. It got its charter and current name in 1643, granted by Queen Christina, making it one of the now defunct Cities of Sweden. The name ''lind'' means the linden tree (Br. Eng. lime tree), which is why the coat of arms depicts a tree. The mining district Lindesberg was mentioned on the 16th century grand map Carta Marina. Notability Between 1996 and 2007, the Augustibuller punk festival had been held in Lindesberg. Lindesberg Municipality (''Lindesbergs kommun'') is a municipality in Örebro County in central Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Lindesberg. The present municipality was created in 1971 when the former ''City of Lindesberg'' and the former market town of ''Frövi'' were joined together. Örebro County
Örebro County ( sv, Örebro län) is a county or ''län'' in central Sweden. It borders the counties of Västra Götaland, Värmland, Dalarna, Västmanland, Södermanland and Östergötland. Västmanland ( or ), is a historical Swedish province, or ''landskap'', in middle Sweden. It borders Södermanland, Närke, Värmland, Dalarna and Uppland. Västmanland means "(The) Land of the Western Men", where the "western men" (''västermännen'') were the people living west of Uppland, the core province of early Sweden. Charged GBH
GBH (originally known as Charged GBH) are an English punk rock band which was formed in 1978 by vocalist Colin Abrahall, guitarist Colin "Jock" Blyth, bassist Sean McCarthy (replaced by Ross Lomas after two years) and drummer Andy "Wilf" Williams. Background GBH were early pioneers of British street punk, often nicknamed " UK82", along with Discharge, Broken Bones, The Exploited, and The Varukers. GBH have gone on to influence several punk rock musicians, but their influence has been especially far-reaching in metal, including the early Bathory albums, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Exodus and each of the "big four of thrash metal" (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax). Desmond Dekker
Desmond Dekker (16 July 1941 – 25 May 2006) was a Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae singer-songwriter and musician. Together with his backing group The Aces (consisting of Wilson James and Easton Barrington Howard), he had one of the earliest international reggae hits with "Israelites" (1968). Other hits include "007 (Shanty Town)" (1967), " It Mek" (1969) and "You Can Get It If You Really Want" (1970). Early life Desmond Adolphus Dacres was born in Saint Andrew Parish (Greater Kingston), Jamaica, on 16 July 1941. Dekker spent his formative years in Kingston. From a young age he regularly attended the local church with his grandmother and aunt. This early religious upbringing, as well as Dekker's enjoyment of singing hymns, led to a lifelong religious commitment. Bad Manners
Bad Manners are an English two-tone and ska band led by frontman Buster Bloodvessel. Early appearances included '' Top of the Pops'' and the live film documentary, '' Dance Craze'' (1981). They were at their most popular during the early 1980s, during a period when other ska revival bands such as Madness, the Specials and the Selecter filled the charts. Bad Manners spent 111 weeks in the UK Singles Chart between 1980 and 1983, and they also achieved chart success with their first four studio albums with '' Ska 'n' B'' (1980), '' Loonee Tunes!'' Napalm Death
Napalm Death are an English grindcore band formed in 1981 in Meriden, West Midlands. None of the band's original members has been in the group since 1986. But since ''Utopia Banished'' (1992), the lineup of bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris, drummer Danny Herrera and lead vocalist Barney Greenway, Mark "Barney" Greenway has remained consistent through most of the band's career.
