Ricardo Larraín
José Ricardo Larraín Pineda (April 27, 1957 – March 21, 2016) was a Chilean director, screenwriter, producer, and film editor known for his work in cinema, television, and advertising. Among his notable works are the films '' La frontera'' and ''El entusiasmo''. Life and career Larraín was born in Santiago, Chile, on April 27, 1957. He studied at the School of Communication Arts at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Larraín began his directing career with the short film ''La hora del sereno'' (1982), which he co-created with Vivienne Barry. The film, a stop-motion animation, revolved around the nostalgic figure of the sereno, a historical character who patrolled the streets lighting lanterns and announcing the time. Human rights film festivals fall beneath the category of topic specific film festivals. These festivals employ the use of universal human rights language, made popular by the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, to convey the importance of the festivals' programmes to their audiences. Lymphoma
Lymphoma is a group of blood and lymph tumors that develop from lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell). The name typically refers to just the cancerous versions rather than all such tumours. The Directors' Fortnight (, formerly ) is an independent section held in parallel to the Cannes Film Festival. It was started in 1969 by the French Directors Guild after the events of May 1968 resulted in cancellation of the Cannes festival as an act of solidarity with striking workers.
