is a Japanese professional wrestling, boxing and mixed martial arts-themed steak house restaurant with two locations. The original location is in Gotanda, and there is a second, larger location in Shimomeguro. Professional wrestlers frequent the restaurant when touring in Tokyo, a rite of passage in the wrestling community. In addition, some wrestlers receive a complimentary satin Ribera Steakhouse Jacket from the owners. History Chris Jericho credits wrestler Stan Hansen with "discovering" the restaurant in the 1970s. Hansen, however, credits Bruiser Brody with being the first American wrestler to discover the restaurant. Gotanda
is a district in the Shinagawa ward of Tokyo, Japan. The district straddles the Meguro River, and is located between the Meguro and Ōsaki stations on the JR Yamanote Line. The district is centered on Gotanda Station, which is served by the Toei Asakusa Line and the elevated Tōkyū Ikegami Line as well as the Yamanote line. The first Japanese to involve himself in catch wrestling, the basis of traditional professional wrestling, was former sumo wrestler Sorakichi Matsuda. Zubaz () is a brand of shorts and pants that became popular during the early 1990s. History and description In 1988, Bob Truax and Dan Stock began brainstorming a new kind of shorts for the heavy-lifting man. The pair developed a comfortably baggy pair of shorts with an elastic waistband. Zubaz was registered as a trademark in 1989. Initially, they were marketed as a comfortable, functional pair of shorts for weightlifting. Joseph Michael Laurinaitis (September 12, 1960 – September 22, 2020), better known by his ring name Road Warrior Animal (or simply Animal), was an American professional wrestler. Along with Road Warrior Hawk, he was one half of the tag team The Road Warriors/The Legion of Doom.
