''Plants of the World Online'' gives the number of accepted species as 74, the Angiosperm Phylogeny Website gives it as 90, and the ''Flora of China'' gives it as about 90, with 55 in China and 16 endemic there. ''Rhodiola pachyclados'', the gray stonecrop, is a species of succulent flowering plant in the family Crassulaceae. It is an evergreen, succulent plant native to Pakistan and Afghanistan, but widely cultivated as an ornamental plant. It was formerly included in the genus ''Sedum''. Taxonomy ''Rhodiola pachyclados'' was originally described as ''Sedum pachyclados'' by J. E. T. Aitchison and William Hemsley (botanist), William Hemsley in 1880.
