''Renincarnated'' is the fourth album by rapper MC Ren, released October 31, 2009, on his own record label Villain Entertainment. The album marked MC Ren's comeback after not having released an album in eleven years since 1998's ''Ruthless for Life''., The album was a download-only album, with no physical edition currently available. It is his first album since he declined a major label deal in 2002 off the back of a series of high-profile appearances on hit albums for Dr. Dre and Ice Cube. Commercial performance The album went on to sell 650 digital downloads in its first week after which it sold more than 3,000 digital copies in the US. Lorenzo Jerald Patterson (born June 16, 1969), known professionally by his stage name MC Ren, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Compton, California. He is the founder and owner of the independent record label Villain Entertainment. MC Ren began his career as a solo artist signed to Eazy-E's Ruthless Records in early 1987, while still attending high school. By the end of 1987, after having written nearly half of ''Eazy-Duz-It'', he became a member of N.W.A. After the group disbanded in 1991, he stayed with Ruthless, releasing three solo albums including the controversial '' Shock of the Hour'' before leaving the label in 1998. In 2016, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of N.W.A. In 2024, he received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award as a member of N.W.A. Villain Entertainment is a record label, founded by rapper MC Ren, in Palm Springs, California in 2004. The label's focus was gangsta rap genre of West Coast hip hop. History Villain Entertainment was formed as a vehicle for releases by MC Ren, after he left Ruthless Records in 1999. After MC Ren's departure from Ruthless Records, the label inherited the rights to all of MC Ren's solo albums, including '' Kizz My Black Azz'', '' Shock of the Hour'', '' The Villain in Black'' and '' Ruthless For Life''. However, the rights to four of the albums are now licensed through Empire Distribution and Virgin Records/Universal Music Group (with ''Kizz My Black Azz'' being made on Priority) as they appear on streaming services under the Villain Entertainment label. ''Ruthless for Life'' is the third solo full-length studio album by American rapper MC Ren. It was released on June 30, 1998, through Ruthless Records with distribution via Epic Records. The recording sessions took place at Larrabee and Sound Castle Recording in Los Angeles, Urban House Inc. in Houston, Badass Beat Lab in Oakland, Tha Mutha Ship in Chocolate City, Redzone in Burbank, Clear Lake Audio and Ameraycan Studio in North Hollywood and Echo Sound Recording Studio in Glendale. Gangsta rap or gangster rap, initially called reality rap, is a subgenre of rap music that conveys the culture, values, and experiences of urban gangs and street hustlers, frequently discussing unpleasant realities of the world in general through an urban lens. Shon Adams, better known by his stage name E-A-Ski, is an American rapper and producer from Oakland, California. He served as both a rapper and producer for No Limit Records, producing on Master P's early records and also releasing some of his own material. Vernon Johnson (born December 24, 1970), professionally known by his stage name Tha Chill, is an American rapper and record producer.
