''Remians'' are the graduates of Dhaka Residential Model College, a college in Bangladesh. Students of the Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC) are called Remians. The term is regarded as a prestigious designation held by graduates of DRMC. Remians founded an organization in Bangladesh known as ORWA, the Old Remians Welfare Association. Remians who are living in Canada have formed Remians Canada to increase the fraternity among the Remians living in Canada. Remians and ORWA members have played a vital role in the development of Bangladesh, contributing to society as government officers, doctors, scientists, engineers, army officers, and professors. Dhaka Residential Model College
Dhaka Residential Model College (also referred to as DRMC) ( bn, ঢাকা রেসিডেনসিয়াল মডেল কলেজ) is a historic public and residential school, located at Mohammadpur, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The college offers education for students ranging from third grade to twelfth grade (approximately ages 8 to 18). DRMC is the largest residential and public school and college in the country. History Dhaka Residential Model College was established in 1960 by Pakistani President Ayyub Khan, in an area of about 60 acre beside Mirpur Road near Sher-e-Bangla Nagor in Dhaka. Nizamuddin Awlia ( bn, নিজামুদ্দিন আউলিয়া; born 1 October 1968), commonly known as Leepu ( bn, লিপু), is a Bangladeshi-born-American automotive designer and coachbuilder, best known for building imitation supercars out of old models. Early life Awlia was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He studied at Dhaka Residential Model College until ninth grade. His father was an officer at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh who moved to Saudi Arabia where Awlia attended college. Awlia's passion for cars also began when he was growing up in Riyadh.
