Rely (marque)
Rely () is a Chinese passenger car manufacturer owned by Chery. Headquartered in Wuhu, it operated from 2009 to 2013, and was later revived in 2025. Rely is an abbreviation of rebuild, explore, link, and yield. History Beginnings In the spring of 2009, the Chinese automotive corporation Chery Automobile announced plans to expand its portfolio with two new brands aimed at improving the image of the company, which was previously known mainly for cheap cars. Together with Riich, the Rely branch was also launched. In September 2009, the first products were presented in the form of a mid-size SUV Rely X5, which was originally developed as a product of the parent brand Chery. Wuhu
Wuhu () is a prefecture-level city in southeastern Anhui province of China, province, China. Riich
Riich () was an upmarket marque of the Chinese automaker Chery. Its models included a microvan, large sedans (the G5 and slightly bigger G6) and supermini Riich M series, including a five-door hatchback (M1), a small sedan (M5) and a five-door crossover (X1). The marque was launched in March 2009. The brand experienced poor sales and in September 2012. Due to that, Chery announced that it would be discontinued. Sales of Riich vehicles ended in April 2013. The Rely X5 is a compact SUV revealed and released in 2010, produced by Chery under the Rely (car), Rely brand. Overview Prices of the Rely X5 at launch was 159,800 yuan with the price adjusted later to range from 109,800 yuan to 141,800 yuan. The original Rely X5 was revealed with only a 2.0-litre engine mated to a manual transmission available. However, a 2.0-litre turbo engine with a 4-speed automatic gearbox was added later in 2011.
