Regina South Albert is a provincial Electoral district (Canada), electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. It was created out of Regina University, Regina Pasqua and small part of Lumsden-Morse. History It was first contested at the 2024 Saskatchewan general election. Along with the city of Regina, the riding includes the community of City View Estate in the Rural Municipality of Sherwood No. 159, located just south of Regina's municipal boundaries. Aleana Young (') is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan in the 2020 Saskatchewan general election. She represents the electoral district of Regina South Albert as a member of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party caucus. Career Prior to her election to the legislature, Young served on Regina's public school board and owned and operated a gourmet cheese shop. She was pregnant during the election campaign and gave birth to a daughter the day before the election. She defeated Tina Beaudry-Mellor, the incumbent MLA from the Saskatchewan Party. The 2020 Saskatchewan general election was held on October 26, 2020 to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. This date was set by Saskatchewan's fixed election date law.
