''Reclaimer'' is the second studio album by American deathcore band Shadow of Intent. The album was released on April 28, 2017. It is their first album without programmed drum tracks and the first album to feature a unique player on each instrument, with a one-off lineup that includes Matt Kohanowski on drums, Federico Zuccarelli on guitar and Keith Kohlhepp on bass. It reached #4 on the iTunes metal chart at debut. "The Horror Within" was released in advance on March 31, 2017. The song's lyrics paraphrase a quote from the ''SpongeBob SquarePants'' episode "The Secret Box", "The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma." Several vocalists from other deathcore bands guest appear in the album, including Dickie Allen of Infant Annihilator and Jason Evans of Ingested on "The Catacombs". Shadow of Intent is an American deathcore band from Connecticut. They formed in 2013 as a ''Halo (franchise), Halo''-themed Studio band, studio project by Ben Duerr and Chris Wiseman. They are not signed to a label and have released all their albums independently. They have released four studio albums to date, along with two instrumental versions of previous releases, and a deluxe album. Their fourth studio album, ''Elegy (Shadow of Intent album), Elegy'', was released independently on January 14, 2022. Symphonic metal is a cross-genre style designation for the symphonic subsets of heavy metal music subgenres. It is used to denote any metal band that makes use of symphonic or orchestral elements. The style features the heavy drums and guitars of metal with different elements of orchestral classical music, such as symphonic instruments, choirs and sometimes a full orchestra, or just keyboard orchestration. ''Primordial'' is the debut studio album by American deathcore band Shadow of Intent. The album was released on January 10, 2016. It is the band's only studio album to be a two-piece and to feature programmed drums. The tracks "The Prelude to Bereavement", "The Shaping Sickness", "The Cosmic Inquisitor", "The Last Bastion" and "The Indexing" were all originally on the band's 2014 debut EP ''Inferi Sententia'', and were re-recorded for this album. ''Melancholy'' is the third studio album by American deathcore band Shadow of Intent. The album was released on August 16, 2019. It is their first album with Andrew Monias on bass, and their only album with Anthony Barone on drums before he was replaced by Bryce Butler of Contrarian. ''Melancholy'' marked a departure from writing strictly ''Halo''-themed music, instead being what has been described as a concept album depicting mass suicides orchestrated by a demonic goddess. An instrumental version of ''Melancholy'' was also released on November 22, 2019. Francesco Ferrini of Fleshgod Apocalypse contributed to the orchestral work on this album. Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore Breakdown (music)#Heavy metal and punk rock, breakdowns. The band currently consists of vocalist Josh Davies, guitarists Sean Hynes and Andrew Virrueta, bassist Thomas O'Malley and drummer Lyn Jeffs. Abigail Williams is an American black metal band, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but now based in Olympia, Washington.
