''Reach the Rock'' is a 1998 American comedy drama film directed by William Ryan and starring William Sadler and Alessandro Nivola, and was the final film to be written and produced by John Hughes. West Chicago is a city in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 25,614 at the 2020 census. Havana 3am was a British-American rock supergroup formed in 1986 by singer/guitarist Nigel Dixon (previously of the band Whirlwind), guitarist Gary Myrick, and bassist Paul Simonon (previously of the Clash). The band also included Travis Williams, a drummer whom they later found by a newspaper announcement. The band's name was taken from the title of a 1956 album by Pérez Prado. Havana 3am's music incorporated elements of rockabilly, Latin and reggae influences. The band eventually signed a worldwide record deal with I.R.S. Records, then travelled to Japan to record with audio engineer Masahiko Yamazaki at a studio in Tokyo. The Sea And Cake
The Sea and Cake is an American indie rock band based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. As part of the Chicago school of post-rock, the group formed in the mid-1990s from members of The Coctails (Archer Prewitt), Shrimp Boat (Sam Prekop and Eric Claridge), and Tortoise (John McEntire); the group's name came from a willful reinterpretation of "The C in Cake", a song by Gastr del Sol, which McEntire was previously a member of. Starting with 1997's '' The Fawn'', the group has relied on electronic instrumentation such as drum machines and synthesizers to color its music, but has retained its distinctive style with marked influences from jazz, samba and bossa nova.
