Re-Animator (album)
''Re-Animator'' (stylised in all caps) is the fifth studio album by British band Everything Everything. Recorded primarily at RAK Studios in London over a two-week period in December 2019 with producer John Congleton, it was released on 11 September 2020 on Infinity Industries, the band's own Imprint (trade name), imprint. The tracks "In Birdsong", "Arch Enemy", "Planets", and "Violent Sun" were released as singles throughout 2020 in support of the album. The release of the album was initially planned for 21 August 2020, but was delayed by three weeks due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Bicameral Mentality
Bicameral mentality is a hypothesis introduced by Julian Jaynes who argued human ancestors as late as the ancient Greeks did not consider emotions and desires as stemming from their own minds but as the consequences of actions of gods external to themselves. The theory posits that the human mind once operated in a state in which cognitive functions were divided between one part of the brain that appears to be "speaking" and a second part that listens and obeys—a ''bicameral mind''—and that the breakdown of this division gave rise to consciousness in humans. Standard Score
In statistics, the standard score or ''z''-score is the number of standard deviations by which the value of a raw score (i.e., an observed value or data point) is above or below the mean value of what is being observed or measured.
