Ras Bu Fontas
Ras Abu Fontas () is a coastal industrial area in Doha on the boundary with Al Wakrah Municipality in Qatar. The government has designated the district as a free economic zone starting in 2019. Geography In a 2010 survey of Ras Abu Fontas' coastal waters conducted by the Qatar Statistics Authority, it was found that its average depth was and its average pH was 7.84. Furthermore, the waters had a salinity of 49.61 psu, an average temperature of 22.51 °C and 26.13 mg/L of dissolved oxygen. Power stations Ras Abu Fontas A was inaugurated in April 1977 at a cost of QR 2.1 billion. In 1983, its 14 gas turbines had a capacity of 618 MW. As of 2018, this capacity has been lowered to 497 MW. Ras Abu Fontas B power station was commissioned in the 1990s. Daily capacity is currently 609 MW. Municipalities Of Qatar
Since 2015, Qatar has been divided into eight Municipality, municipalities. In 2004, a new municipality, Al Daayen, was created under Resolution No. 13, formed from parts of Umm Salal and Al Khawr; at the same time, Al Ghuwariyah was merged with Al Khawr; Al Jumaliyah was merged with Ar Rayyan; Jarayan al Batnah was split between Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah; and Mesaieed was merged with Al Wakrah. Doha Metro
The Doha Metro (, ''Romanization of Arabic, romanized: Mitru ad-Dawha'') is a rapid transit system in the Doha Metropolitan Area of Qatar's capital city Doha, which became operational on 8 May 2019. Mesaimeer () is a Qatari district in the municipality of Al Rayyan. Located south-west of Doha, it shares borders with the Doha Industrial Area to the east, Umm Al Seneem, Abu Hamour and Al Mamoura to the north-west, Al Thumama to the east, and Wadi Aba Saleel and Jery Musabbeh to the south-east. Etymology The district derives its name from the Arabic word "musmar", meaning "nail". Regionally, the term "musmar" is used to describe dark-colored jagged stones with heads that resemble nails. Qatar National Bank (QNB Group) () is a Qatari multinational commercial bank headquartered in Doha, Qatar. It was founded in 1964 and currently has subsidiaries and associates in 31 countries on three continents. The bank's ownership is evenly divided between the Qatar Investment Authority and members of the public. Al Khor (city)
Al Khor () is a coastal city in northeast Qatar, located north of the capital Doha. Considered one of Qatar's largest cities, it is the capital city of the Municipalities of Qatar, municipality of Al Khor, Al Khor and Al Thakhira. Mesaieed
Mesaieed (, also transliterated as ''Umm Sa'id'') is an industrial city in Al Wakrah Municipality south of the Qatari capital Doha. It was one of the most important cities in Qatar during the 20th century, having gained recognition as a prime industrial zone and tanking center for petroleum received from Dukhan. Both Mesaieed and its industrial area are administered by a subdivision of QatarEnergy called "Mesaieed Industry City Management", which was established in 1996. Ad-Dawhah (, ' or ''ad-Dōḥa'', ) is one of the eight municipalities of Qatar. It is the most populous municipality with a population of 1,186,023 in 2020, and is the municipality of Qatar's capital city, Doha.
