Rammstein Songs
Rammstein (, "ramming stone") is a German band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup—consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz—has remained unchanged throughout their history, along with their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band has completed beforehand. Prior to their formation, some members were associated with the punk rock acts Feeling B and First Arsch. After winning a local contest, Rammstein was able to record demos and send them to different record labels, eventually signing with Motor Music. Working with producer Jacob Hellner, they released their debut album '' Herzeleid'' in 1995. Though the album initially sold poorly, the band gained popularity through their live performances and the album eventuall ... Oliver Riedel
Oliver "Ollie" Riedel (born 11 April 1971) is a German musician, best known as one of the founders and the bassist of band Rammstein. Early life Riedel was born in Schwerin on 11 April 1971. Growing up, he had relatively good relationships with both of his parents, which he attributes to the small gap between their ages. As a child, he was not a good student, but he made his way through school with the assistance of his mother. Riedel was quite shy, especially during his teenage years; while his friends partied, he would often be found just "hanging around". Career In 1992, Riedel began playing in a Folk music, folk/Punk rock, punk band called the Inchtabokatables. That same year, he traveled to the southwest of the United States together with Richard Kruspe and Till Lindemann. In 1993, Riedel co-founded a new project named Tempelprayers with Kruspe and Christoph Schneider. Together with Lindemann, they entered the Berlin Senate Metrobeat contest in 1994 and won a recording se ... Herzeleid
''Herzeleid'' (; "Heartbreak") is the debut studio album by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, first released on 25 September 1995 via Motor Music. Production and writing After signing up with Motor Music, the band was instructed to search for a producer, a position they didn't even know about since it wasn't usual in East Germany. They first suggested Bob Rock and Rick Rubin, but the label asked them to be less ambitious. The role was ultimately assigned to Jacob Hellner, known for his work with Clawfinger. Guitarist Richard Kruspe recalls the band's struggle during their time in Stockholm, Sweden, where the album was recorded at Polar Studios and Hellner's own studio, BomKrash. Because there wasn't a language that both members and producer could speak, the band couldn't properly express their disapproval of the way Hellner was making them sound. This was solved with the help of Dutch engineer Ronald Prent, who served as a middleman between Rammstein and Hellner. ... Benzin
"Benzin" (German, in English: Gasoline or Petrol) is a song by German industrial metal band Rammstein, released as the first single from their album . In Germany, gasoline is called ''Benzin'' (which is derived from the chemical mixture benzine). The song uses the word "Gasolin", however the word does not exist in the German language, but it is an English word made German. There was, however, a German chain of gas stations called "Gasolin." Music video In the video, Rammstein are firefighters. They have not had a call for a long time, and are thus very ill-equipped for dealing with an emergency. They enter a huge, three-lane-wide fire-engine, and set off on their journey, not taking any notice of the damage they are causing, or the people they are killing. They plow through high-voltage power-lines, trains, trees and normal road vehicles; despite this, the truck remains unscratched. During the journey, the scene changes to a fantasy by guitarist Paul H. Landers, during ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

The album's first title was ''Reise, Reise Volume Two'', but on 18 August 2005 the album was announced as . The cover art is nearly identical to the Japanese import of ''Reise, Reise''. The image is a slightly altered photograph of the icebreaker USS ''Atka'', taken on 13 March 1960 at McMurdo Station, Ross Ice Shelf, Antarctica. While Rammstein did not actively promote the album, the band built anticipation through a variety of means. The first single from the album, "Benzin", premiered at the Berliner Wuhlheide and was subsequently released on disc. Rammstein's official website featured one-minute samples from six of the tracks, and had featured a prominent release-date countdown. A brief section of the chorus from "" plays in the background of an e-card containing photographs of the band and basic album ... Amerika (song)
"Amerika" is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released on 6 September 2004 as the second single from their fourth studio album, '' Reise, Reise'' (2004). The song peaked at number 2 in Germany and entered the top 5 in Austria, Denmark, and Switzerland. Content The chorus of the song comes from a song called " Living in America" by Swedish band the Sounds. The song is intended as a commentary on the worldwide cultural and political imperialism of the United States of America. The song's lyrics, as well as its video, are a critique of America's cultural imperialism, political propaganda and role as a global policeman. The two verses are sung in German with a chorus in Denglisch: "We're all living in Amerika, Amerika ist wunderbar, We're all living in Amerika, Amerika, Amerika" and "We're all living in Amerika, Coca-Cola, Wonderbra. We're all living in Amerika, Amerika, Amerika." The band views it as a satire on Americanization, and the lyrics make re ... It was released as the lead single from their fourth studio album, '' Reise, Reise'' (2004), on 26 July 2004. It was Rammstein's first number-one single, topping the Spanish Singles Chart. "Mein Teil" attracted controversy in Germany; the media dubbed it „Das Kannibalenlied“ ("The Cannibal Song") due to its lyrics referring to the Armin Meiwes cannibalism case, which helped to boost it to second place in the German music charts after its release in early August 2004. Background and composition The song is inspired by the case of Armin Meiwes and Bernd Jürgen Brandes. In March 2001, in Rotenburg an der Fulda, the two men aged in their 40s met each other, cut off and cooked Bra ... Sonne (Rammstein Song)
"Sonne" (German for "sun") is a song by German metal band Rammstein. It was released in 2001, as the first Single (Music), single from their album ''Mutter (album), Mutter''. According to Till Lindemann, the song was originally written as an entrance song for the boxer Vitali Klitschko, whose surname was also the working title of the song. The female vocal comes from Spectrasonic's "Symphony of Voices" sample library. The music video for the band's 2019 single "Deutschland (song), Deutschland" features a piano-based version of "Sonne" in the ending credits. Music video The video features the band as the Seven Dwarfs mining gold for Snow White. According to Paul Landers in the ''Making of Sonne'', the idea came from a video made by Oliver Riedel, who mixed the song with parts of ''Snow White.'' The role of Snow White was played by Yulia Stepanova. Live performances The song debuted as "Klitschko" on 16 April 2000. It was very different from the final version released in ''Mutte ...
