Ramdeobaba University (RBU), previously Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM), is an Indian private university located in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is recognized under the Maharashtra Private Universities (Establishment & Regulation) Act 2023 (Mah. Act No. VIII of 2024) by the Government of Maharashtra. The university holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and NAAC accreditation with an A+ grade. The campus covers 17 acres in Nagpur. It is approved by the UGC, New Delhi, and the Government of Maharashtra, and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The university is also a center for research and Ph.D. programs. History Established in 1984 as RCOEM by Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti trust, the institution was founded under the leadership of Banwarilal Purohit, former Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh. Banwarilal Purohit
Banwarilal Purohit (born 16 April 1940) is an Indian politician. He was the former List of governors of Punjab, India, Governor of Punjab, India and Administrator of Chandigarh from September 2021, Governor of Tamil Nadu from 2017 to 2021, and former Governor of Assam from 2016 to 2017. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was a Member of Parliament from the Nagpur (Lok Sabha constituency) three times, twice as an Indian National Congress member, once as a Bharatiya Janata Party, BJP member. Political career Later he joined Congress. Vidarbha Cricket Team
The Vidarbha cricket team is an Indian domestic cricket team plays in the India's domestic first-class cricket competition Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Rajneesh Gurbani (born 28 January 1993) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Vidarbha. He made his List A debut on 10 December 2015 in the 2015–16 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made his Twenty20 debut on 3 January 2016 in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He made his first-class debut for Vidarbha in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy on 27 October 2016. National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a ranking methodology released annually by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to rank institutions of higher education in India. The framework was approved by the former Ministry of Human Resource Development (now the Ministry of Education) and launched by the Minister on 29 September 2015. Depending on their areas of operation, institutions have been ranked under 11 different categories – overall, university, colleges, engineering, management, pharmacy, law, medical, architecture, dental and research.
