Ralph Cotterill (March 26, 1932 - May 7, 2023) was a British born Australian actor. Born in Yorkshire, Cotterill arrived in Australia in 1973 while touring with the Royal Shakespeare Company The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) is a major British theatre company, based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England. The company employs over 1,000 staff and opens around 20 productions a year. The RSC plays regularly in London, Stratf .... He went on to have a long career in Australia, both on stage and screen. Friedrich Siegmund Georg Freiherr Kress von Kressenstein (also and Turkish language, Turkish: ''Kress Pasha;'' 24 April 1870 – 16 October 1948) was a German general from Nuremberg. He was a member of the group of German officers who assisted in the direction of the Ottoman Army during World War I. Kress von Kressenstein was part of the military mission of Otto Liman von Sanders to the Ottoman Empire, which arrived shortly before World War I broke out. He was also the main leader for the Ottoman Desert Command Force (DCF). Early life Kress came from a Patrician (post-Roman Europe), patrician family in Nuremberg. His father, Georg Kress von Kressenstein (1840–1911), was a high court judge. Kress von Kressenstein joined the Bavarian army as an ensign in the artillery in 1888. ''Punishment'' is an Australian television soap opera made by the Reg Grundy Organisation for Network Ten in 1981. It debuted in Melbourne and Brisbane on Saturday 14th February 1981, and a few days later in Sydney on Friday 20th February 1981. Set in a fictional men's prison, the series attempted to present a male version of its female counterpart'' Prisoner'', which was set in a woman's prison. Attempts by the show's makers to differentiate the series from ''Prisoner'' saw ''Punishment'' imbued with greater realism; however, the formula did not attract high viewing figures. Network Ten deemed the new series a failure after only three episodes had gone to air, and in Melbourne and Sydney it was removed from the schedules after the fourth episode had been shown.
