Rahmat Mirzani Djausal
Rahmat Mirzani Djausal (born 18 March 1980) is an Indonesian businessman and politician of the Gerindra Party who is the governor of Lampung, taking office in February 2025. He had previously served one term between 2019 and 2024 in the Lampung Regional House of Representatives. Early life and education Rahmat Mirzani Djausal was born on 18 March 1980 in the town of Kota Bumi, in North Lampung Regency of Lampung. Rahmat is the son of Faisol Djausal, a Lampung-based construction businessman. He completed middle school in Kota Bumi, and then high school in Tanjung Karang. He then studied civil engineering at Trisakti University in Jakarta, graduating in 2005. He would later obtain a master's in management from Lampung University in 2012. 2024 Lampung Gubernatorial Election
The 2024 Lampung gubernatorial election was held on 27 November 2024 as part of 2024 Indonesian local elections, nationwide local elections to elect the governor and vice governor of Lampung for a five-year term. The previous election was held in 2018. Former member of the Lampung Regional House of Representatives, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal of the Gerindra Party, won the election in a landslide with 82% of the vote. Former Governor Arinal Djunaidi, a member of Golkar who was nominated by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), received 17%. Jihan Nurlela Chalim (born 22 April 1994) is an Indonesian politician who is the vice governor of Lampung since 20 February 2025.
