Ragnar Solberg
Ragnar Solberg (30 September 1898 – 9 December 1967) was a Norwegian poet. He was born in Dovre. He made his literary debut in 1937 with the poetry collection ''Is-gud'', written in Dovre dialect. Among his other collections are ''Du fjell'' from 1938, ''Livs-skurd'' from 1950, and ''Ljos'' from 1953. Dovre is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the Traditional districts of Norway, traditional district of Gudbrandsdal. The administrative centre of the municipality is the Dovre (village), village of Dovre. Other villages in Dovre include Dombås and Hjerkinn. Dovrefjell
Dovrefjell is a mountain range in Central Norway that forms a natural barrier between Eastern Norway and Trøndelag. The mountain range is located in Innlandet, Møre og Romsdal, and Trøndelag counties in Norway. As a result of its central location, its valleys and passes have been heavily trafficked during and probably preceding historical times. Several mountain inns were established in the Middle Ages to house pilgrims traveling through Dovrefjell to Trondheim, and there are even ruins of an old leprosy, leper colony in the northern area of it. The main south-north highway (European route E6) and the Dovrebanen railway line both run through a mountain pass in the Dovrefjell range. The highway is a year-round highway but on rare occasions it is closed for short periods during heavy winter weather conditions. The Dovre Line () is a Norwegian railway line with three slightly different lines which all lead to the historic city of Trondheim (city), Trondheim. Definition *Dovre Line is the main line between Eidsvoll Station and Trondheim Station, used by Norwegian National Rail Administration, Jernbaneverket since 2008. *Dovre Line is also the current name of the main line of the Rail transport in Norway, Norwegian railway system (Jernbaneverket) between Oslo and Trondheim, used when referring to the long-distance passenger trains. *Dovre Line was the name of the main line between Dombås and Trondheim until 2008. Fokstumyra Nature Reserve
Fokstumyra Nature Reserve is a nature reserve established in 1923 in Dovrefjell, in the municipality of Dovre. It covers an area of eight km² of wetlands, and was the first nature reserve in Norway.
