Radio Bremen
Radio Bremen (), shortened to RB () is Germany's smallest Public broadcasting, public radio and television broadcaster and the legally mandated broadcaster for the city-state Bremen (state), Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (which includes Bremerhaven). With its headquarters sited in Bremen, Radio Bremen is a member of the consortium of German public broadcasting organizations, ARD (broadcaster), ARD. History In 1922 the "Deutsche Stunde für drahtlose Belehrung und Unterhaltung" (''German Hour for Wireless Education and Entertainment'') was founded with the participation of Ludwig Roselius. On 2 May 1924 Norddeutscher Rundfunk, Nordische Rundfunk AG (NORAG) began broadcasting. On 30 November 1924, the "Zwischensender" Bremen was put into operation. Bremen (Low German also: ''Breem'' or ''Bräm''), officially the City Municipality of Bremen (, ), is the capital of the States of Germany, German state of the Bremen (state), Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (), a two-city-state consisting of the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven. Aimed at an audience aged 15 to 25, it broadcasts a rhythmic CHR format with mostly hip hop and electronic music and makes heavy use of social media. Bremen Vier (English: Bremen Four) is a radio station from Radio Bremen for the city of Bremen and Bremerhaven in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. It broadcasts a hot adult contemporary format dominated by pop music and has been operating since 1 December 1986. It is targeted at an audience aged 14 to 49. As of 2023, Bremen Vier has more than 200,000 daily listeners. History The first broadcast by Bremen Vier was on 1 December 1986 at 9:05 AM. Bremen Zwei is a German public radio station owned and operated by Radio Bremen (RB). It broadcasts a culture and information-based format with a wide music selection, similar to Bayern 2. Unlike other ARD cultural stations, it does not air classical music. Bremen Zwei replaced Nordwestradio on 12 August 2017. Bremen Eins is a German, public radio station owned and operated by the Radio Bremen (RB). It launched on 23 April 2001, succeeding Hansawelle and Radio Bremen Melodie. The station is aimed at an audience aged 45 and above. It broadcasts an adult contemporary format, focusing on music from the 1970s to 1990s. Programming is produced between 5:00 AM (6:00 AM on Sundays) and midnight. Outside of these times, SWR1's night programme is broadcast. As of 2023, Bremen Eins has more than 350,000 daily listeners. Teletext
Teletext, or broadcast teletext, is a standard for displaying text and rudimentary graphics on suitably equipped television sets. Teletext sends data in the broadcast signal, hidden in the invisible vertical blanking interval area at the top and bottom of the screen. The teletext decoder in the television buffers this information as a series of "pages", each given a number. The user can display chosen pages using their remote control. In broad terms, it can be considered as Videotex, a system for the delivery of information to a user in a computer-like format, typically displayed on a television or a dumb terminal, but that designation is usually reserved for systems that provide bi-directional communication, such as Prestel or Minitel.
