Qwerty (Linkin Park Song)
"Qwerty" (stylised in all caps) is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. Originally recorded during sessions for their third studio album, '' Minutes to Midnight'' (2007), the song debuted on a four-date mini-tour of Japan in August 2006, which served as a break from the studio while the band was working on the album. The studio version of the track debuted on the '' LP Underground 6.0'' (2006), an album made available exclusively to the band's official fan club, released on December 5, 2006. It was later featured on the compilations ''Songs from the Underground'' (2008) and '' A Decade Underground'' (2010), as well as an 8-bit version featured on the soundtrack to Linkin Park's own video game, '' 8-Bit Rebellion!'' (2010). The song was officially released on digital platforms on April 12, 2024 as part of the band's fourth compilation album ''Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000–2023)''. Chiba Marine Stadium
(official name: ) is an outdoor baseball stadium in Chiba City, Chiba, Japan. It opened in 1990, with a capacity of about 30,000 spectators. Summer Sonic Festival
is an annual music festival held on one weekend in August simultaneously in both Chiba and Osaka, Japan. The festival features revolving lineups performing one day in Osaka then performing the next day in Chiba and vice-versa. The lineup often features major international acts in addition to Japanese artists from major and independent record companies. The festival was first held in 2000 at Fuji-Q Highland resort in Yamanashi Prefecture. The festival moved to Chiba in 2001, just east of Tokyo, and has occurred in both Chiba and Osaka simultaneously since 2002. Since 2011 the festival has been preceded by the all-night event Sonicmania, a separately ticketed event held in only Chiba featuring an EDM-centric lineup. ''8-Bit Rebellion!'' is a massively multiplayer online, and single player, video game released and based on the American rock band, Linkin Park for iOS. Gameplay The game stages a plot in which players aim to defeat PixxelKorp, an "evil HD empire that has taken over the 8-bit world". Players take on missions that lead them through several levels called "dicts", each one based on one of the band's members. The game features Linkin Park promotional art as the basis of the game, including posters on the walls, paintings by Mike Shinoda himself, and all six band members drawn as 8-bit styled characters. Soundtrack Each level includes 8-bit and original versions of Linkin Park songs. After beating the game and stopping PixxelKorp, the player unlocks a previously unreleased song, titled "Blackbirds" along with a video. It can be listened to in the game.
