Quique Wolff
Enrique Ernesto "Quique" Wolff (born 21 February 1949) is an Argentine journalist and former football defender. He represented Argentina at the 1974 World Cup. Playing career Wolff, born in Victoria, Buenos Aires, began his career with Racing Club in 1967. He played for the club until he was transferred to River Plate in 1972. In 1974 Wolff was transferred to UD Las Palmas in Spain, and 3 years later he joined Spanish giants Real Madrid where he was part of the championship winning sides of 1977-1978 and 1978–1979. Wolff returned to Argentina in 1979 to play for Argentinos Juniors, but he only managed 8 appearances before retiring. Two years after his retirement Wolff turned out for Club Atlético Tigre in the Argentine 2nd division. ESPN Latin America
ESPN Latin America (on-air as ESPN) is the Latin American division of ESPN Inc., and broadcasts sports-related programming for the region in Spanish. It was launched on 31 March 1989. Its programming is adapted to the likes of viewers, who tend to prefer football and Hispanic baseball players to the more locally produced programs. ESPN Latin America, unlike its U.S. sister channels, has more programs related to soccer and tennis. The Disney/Hearst Corporation joint venture has also added some secondary regional channels for the Latin American region in the last few years, like ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPN4, ESPN5 and ESPN Premium. The South American Youth Football Championship, also known as South American U-20 Championship (; ), branded as CONMEBOL Sub 20, is a South American football tournament organized by the CONMEBOL for South American national teams of men under age of 20. This tournament also serves as qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, and from 2007 to 2015, also for the Summer Olympic Games. 1967 Intercontinental Cup
The 1967 Intercontinental Cup was a football tie held over three legs in 1967 between the winners of the 1966–67 European Cup, The Celtic Football Club from Scotland, and Racing Club from Argentina, winners of the 1967 Copa Libertadores. The first leg was played at Hampden Park in Glasgow, with Celtic winning 1–0 through a Billy McNeill header. The game was enhanced by Racing's incessant attacking and fierce defending. The return match at El Cilindro in Avellaneda was also acrimonious, with Celtic's Ronnie Simpson struck by an object thrown from the crowd just before the start of the match. He was badly dazed and had to be replaced by John Fallon. Celtic again took the lead, but Racing fought back to win 2–1 through goals from Norberto Raffo and Juan Carlos Cárdenas. The Intercontinental Cup, officially the European/South American Cup and known from 1980 as the Toyota Cup for sponsorship reasons, was an international association football, football competition endorsed by UEFA (Europe) and CONMEBOL (South America), contested between representative clubs from these confederations, usually the winners of the UEFA Champions League and the South American Copa Libertadores.
